It's been a while since I read the book, but from what I can recall, Xi Wu and Su Su don't actually look alike in the book. In the book, Su Su's appearance is described as calamitously beautiful, while Xi Wu is described as kinda plain - or at least not as pretty as Ye Bing Shang.
Ye Xi Wu was a mortal whose body Li Su Su's immortal spirit takes over. Xi Wu was a spoiled brat who was physically and verbally abusive. She also hated her (cousin?) Ye Bing Shang because Bing Shang held the affections of Prince Lin, who Xi Wu had a crush on. So when Su Su takes over, everyone is surprised when she starts treating people nicely.
I need to go and read the book again while I'm waiting for new episodes. I got about 50 chapters in last year but had to stop because I'd caught up to the end of the translation. I checked back and about 20 more chapters have been added so it's time to start over from the beginning again!
Short version, if you haven't looked it up yourself, is that his ex-girlfriend went on social media and accused him of getting her pregnant and then forcing her to get an abortion against her wishes. She painted him in an incredibly toxic and emotionally manipulative light. Now, it is true that she had an abortion, but it was proven not true that she was forced into it, it was something that she and Seon Ho mutually agreed upon. It was also revealed that she had a history of telling lies, even while she was still in a relationship with Seon Ho. As her accusation was investigated, what came to light was that this ex-girlfriend was incredibly clingy and couldn't get over the fact that Seon Ho broke up with her, and she was using this smear campaign in the hopes of making him return to her. She ultimately recanted on her original smear post, and sent an apology to Seon Ho.
People are still divided in their opinions on this issue, as to whether Seon Ho was in the wrong regarding wanting the abortion, but I for one think she was wrong to air out her dirty laundry to the whole world just so she could punish her ex-boyfriend and try to destroy his career for breaking up with her.
I am to confused right now, the show was very good and captured my attention completely but the end is not what…
Yeah. The scriptwriter has stated that she wants to continue the story, even if it's in movie form, but when Signal originally came out, sequels were just not a thing. The ending isn't unsatisfying, IMO, because it is implied that Lee Jae Han survives in the new timeline and that he's on the run from guys working for the corrupt politician. I just imagine that he reunites with Soo Hyun and finally meets Hae Yeong in person, somewhere down the line, and they work together, no longer separated by time. The ending does have hope.
There's nothing better than liking actors who treat women badly, right?
Despite proof that the woman in question was horribly manipulative and smeared his reputation simply because she was upset he broke up with her? You apparently stopped listening after her accusations, and not to the rest of the story.
Heaven Official's Blessing has gotten an official translation/publication in English by Seven Seas Entertainment,…
Free to read online, no. In print, yes. You'd have to buy the physical copies (it's multi-volume), available from online booksellers. I also saw it at my local B&N, so it is available at some physical bookseller locations as well. https://sevenseasdanmei.com/#hob1 Four out of the eight planned volumes have been released so far.
does anyone has the link for the translated novel??????
Heaven Official's Blessing has gotten an official translation/publication in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, so if you're looking for English fan translations, unfortunately they have likely been taken down. You can still read the manhua online, though. I've been reading it on Zinmanga.
He is always doing the same role. Aka important figure succeeding at something. His occupation might vary but…
The last romance Namgoong Min was in was The Undateables in 2018, and there was no problematic age gap in that one, they were both over 30. And I think that the "always playing the same role" isn't an issue, as long as he does it well. Almost every character he's played has been memorable and nuanced.
To give you an example of someone else who does the same thing, Park Min Young seems to mostly do romance comedies where she plays the exact same kind of character (What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, Her Private Life, Forecasting Love and Weather, Love in Contract). Nothing wrong with that, she's a great actress who does really well at both comedy and romance.
