From what I can see, it's very likely that Baek Mo Sa is JY's father. In episode 8, Baek Mo Sa secretly followed…
I'm holding out with the belief that she's alive. There was a huge time gap between the events of episode 7 and episode 8 (almost 50 days), and since we never saw her die, or her body, there's every possibility that someone hid her, as spy dramas are wont to do. She's probably going to show up unexpectedly at the last moment, and reveal what she knows. It does seem that both Ji Hyuk and Kang Pil Ho believe she's dead, though...
Why erase memory? for that sill thing. it just do not make sense.
Ji Hyuk erased his memory because he wanted to re-investigate everything from the start without any pre-conceptions. At least, that is how I understood it. I'll need to re-watch this whole series back-to-back once it's over just to understand it, lol.
1. Lee in hwan could be the main villain.2. Yoo Ye Ji has to come to terms with her father being the killer and…
Probably want to mark that comment as a spoiler. But Pil Ho didn't try to kill Ji Hyuk; somebody from Sangmuhoe was using the technology provided by that Planet company to control his car remotely. If you rewatch the episode, when Je Yi and Ji Hyuk are in the elevator at the company, there's a shot of an advertisement talking about autonomous driving (i.e. the car drives itself).
No you won't find any in this drama. Why would anyone want bromance or romance in an action crime thriller drama…
There's no romance, but there are definitely some people (myself included) who wouldn't mind a hint of a possible future relationship between Ji Hyuk and Je Yi by the end... :)
that preview for ep 7 had me totally fooled..... i thought je yi got soo yeon out of the hospital and saved her.......as…
So I think that old guy was probably (?) the original founder of Sangmuhoe. As to why he was being kept alive like that, and why Baek Mo Sa killed him, we'll just have to wait and find out. Baek Mo Sa keeps dropping hints and warnings to Ji Hyuk, but also appears to hold a personal grudge against him based on what he said in the episode 9 preview, so his motivations are still a mystery.
Regarding Soo Yeon - I'm pretty sure she only dated 2 guys. Her first boyfriend was Director Kang, which was a big secret because dating between two agents (especially when one is your superior) is not allowed. We're led to assume she broke up with Kang because he asked her to do something against her conscience one too many times. And of course her second boyfriend was Kyung Seok, Ji Hyuk's partner. As for Chang Chun Woo, I'm pretty sure he just harbored one-sided feelings (or obsession) for her after she saved his life when everyone else had given up on him.
So the company "Planet" that was introduced in episode 8 has technology that can remotely control cars. Ji Hyuk tried to provoke the Sangmuhoe agent/contact (the one who called Je Yi's sunbae) into revealing themselves by claiming to know what they did and what they were going to do. However, they didn't fall for it and instead remotely controlled Director Kang's car. Now we can't know whether Director Kang was already hurt before he got there, but I would assume he was at least unconscious, so some of his injuries were from all the crashing the car did while trying to hit Ji Hyuk.
Kang Pil Ho is a bit of a mystery to me. He's definitely got some major skeletons in his closet, and feels a lot of guilt towards Soo Yeon, so I'm guessing he has had dealings with Sangmuhoe and is at least partially responsible for Bloody Friday. Kang Pil Ho comes across as a hypocrite; he claims to want power in order to protect his agents, but he also appears to be willing to sacrifice whomever necessary to achieve his goal. I'm confused about who he's wanting to protect them from, to be honest. It's not like they won't be endangering their lives, as that's part of their job.
I was glad to finally find out who Ji Hyuk's secret partner was. I had originally assumed it was Je Yi, but it makes more sense that Ji Hyuk would choose someone he knew, and someone he had dirt on. I'm glad he has one more person on his side now. Though, based on the preview for episode 9, it looks like Ji Hyuk royally screwed up by tapping Je Yi's phone. I hope they reconcile quickly!
The behind-the-scenes and making videos are available on Naver. Just search "검은태양 공식영상". The videos are blocked in my country, so I had to get around that by downloading them using a third-party service.
I love this man so much. He was the person who inspired me to pursue a teaching degree, because of his speech at Ehwa Women’s University. First saw him in The Best Hit, then discovered 2 Days 1 Night because of him.
I watched the behind the scenes for episode six and we were robbed, I tell you, robbed! The director considered doing the scene where Je Yi treats Ji Hyuk's wound with him shirtless. But at least we have the BTS footage of a bashful, shirtless Namgoong Min.
omg i didnt think of that, that Would be a plot twist indeed
A plot twist indeed, though I don't think an evil boss would erase his own memories, just to make himself to (re)investigate a conspiracy that would ultimately incriminate himself...
Honestly, considering how little screen time Park Ha Sun has actually had in this drama so far, it seems like Kim Ji Eun is the real female lead. And now that Soo Yeon is unconscious (possibly dead) as of episode 6, Je Yi seems even more so like the main female character.
I like your analysis. I had the same though as you JeYi deleted the video because proving Ji Hyuk is innocent…
I also want to think that Je Yi's actions are not as bad as they appear. There's no conceivable reason that I can think of for her to betray him now; it seems counter-intuitive to her desire to figure out what happened to her father. The preview was really confusing, to be honest, because it seems like Ji Hyuk is no longer on the run, at least not when he's talking to Director Jin Suk. Though, the one shot of him in the dark, empty room with the really high-up, narrow window is leaving me wondering whether that is a flashback or if that's at the start of the episode after he's been caught?
I think thats a part of some plan.... getting caught in the hospital & deletion of the cctv footage....... Ot…
Of course, my main question is: will there be a dvd/blu-ray release of this drama? Because if so I am so ready to pay whatever it costs to buy it, especially if this drama's second half is as good as the first half.
Ok, so I wasn't expecting that twist at the end of episode 6. Is Soo Yeon really dead? And did Je Yi betray Han Ji Hyuk to Director Kang? Or did she get faulty information because they knew she was working with him? But then why did she delete the real footage of Soo Yeon's shooting? Presumably Ji Hyuk still has the copy he obtained from Chun Woo (it's a digital file after all, not a physical one-of-a-kind recording), so what is the significance of her deleting the video off her computer? It's so hard waiting for the next episodes to come out. I'm dying to know what happens next!
There was a photo (of a dude) in her file that was removed when handled over to new department head. Why she'd…
I’m betting she’s Ji Hyuk’s secret ally. There is no way he could’ve set this up on his own, and he probably needed someone who was unrelated to the circle of suspects while also being part of the organization. I’m currently assuming she requested the transfer because he wanted her to. But we will just have to see.
This man can fit in any kind of role ... action, comedy, romantic, villain anything .
I love him in pretty much any role, but I sure hope he does another comedy after this, something less strenuous. Maintaining that kind of body is exhausting.
Who do you think is helping Ji Hyuk by sending him the messages? Who signaled him from the other building, pointing him to that locker where he found the video he had recorded of himself? My money is currently on his partner, because obviously if he set this stuff up beforehand he must’ve needed someone outside of his circle of suspects, but presumably still part of the organization. Plus she wouldn’t raise suspicions. Just my thoughts; I’m probably wrong.
The Veil was worth the wait for real! Hoping it’ll remain great until the end! Torn between being relieved and…
It's only twelve episodes, but since the runtime for each episode is actually almost an hour and 20 minutes, the total time is close to 16 hours anyway.
