I honestly don't really care about ratings, it really doesn't change anything on how enjoyable a drama is. But also, while it is true that KBS daily are currently doing better than MBC, MBC still had some insane ratings back in the day with dramas like Miss Mermaid.

But yh currently KBS really have the monopoly over dailies, which is why i think they don't bother doing too much since they know the older demographic will still tune in, while MBC kinda needs to put more efforts and budget into theirs probably?

Nah ngl the kiss scene in the second episode is lowkey rapey, such a turn off to force yourself on a women even if she has done wrong to you

I thought the same thing, I feel like every actor is doing a pretty good job except FL. Leading this drama alongside two veterans actresses doesn't help her at all

I still feel like KBS give their daily lower budget than MBC gives 😭 also, imo, even the older daily from other network such as TvN and SBS had much nicer sets.

I hope KBS gives this a higher budget than their usual daily since it's JSH grand returns to their network. Please have nicer sets than ur usual and don't reuse the same one y'all been using for the last 15 years 💀😭 give JSH what she deserves!!

It's not on the actors faces. Like the other commenter said it's used for the drawings but they also generated exterior scenes with it..if you go back to the first episode the opening scenes is so clearly 100% with AI, daily makjang don't have the budget to film those types of, honestly, really unnecessary fluff scenes..

Nope, there's whole scenes done with AI. Yes it's done with the actors face however it's more than just drawing. The opening scenes of the first episodes is entirely made with AI, and some outdoors building ect are also made with AI. It's honestly very weird and not really necessary.

Quality is subjective lol. But don't go in a daily soaps if you don't wanna see cheating, bullying ect, it's literally what a soap is?? We're just talking about tropes/plotline of the genre here not the quality of a drama .

Also daily ≠ daily makjang (aka daily soap operas), this is a makjang so it's obviously gonna use those typical soaps tropes, it's not a surprise so I just don't get why they would complain lol

It's a makjang, most makjang are categorized under family aswell. It's gonna have revenge aswell, it's categorized as Revenge on Kocowa

I'll always kinda find these types of comments funny cuz ofc it's gonna have the same plotlines has so many other soaps... It's what's makes the genre? It's like going in an horror movie and being shocked that there's scary scenes?? Like obviously there's gonna be scary scenes, it's what makes the horror genre the horror genre.

For soaps, it's always gonna have cheating, bullying, kidnapping and overly dramatic scenes. It's what makes soap operas a soap opera. This genre existed from the dawn of television and always has been the same no matter the country 😭

it was 35 ep of 40 mins. they'll cut hella things from the original lol. but honestly the original is kinda slice of life for a good chunk so i don't think it's that bad if they cut a bit of it

both, i believe that in the cdrama both irl and in the drama the age diff was 20 years, which was why it was a big deal and the main storyline. who's gonna believe that these two are 20 years apart? ik in irl they have a 10 years diff but imo they don't even look that apart lol. and if they change the age difference in the drama then the storyline won't really make sense imo, like idk 10 years isn't that much esp if the guy is 30 like that is a grown ass man lol

well Mi Hyang somewhat recognized her, it's more that she didn't want to believe it was her. as for FL, she was 7 yo when she was abandoned and is now in her thirties it makes sens for her not recognise someone she haven't seen in 20+ years and that she only saw as a child.

all the others who have known her in the past haven't met her again yet, i bet FL dad will instantly recognize her

we're 10 for 10 for me, not one boring episode and i'm totally hooked, which is surprising for me cuz normally i need a good 20 to 30 eps before being absolutely absorbed in a daily! we're still only in the beggining but who know, maybe this'll become my fav KBS2 daily! first time seeing Lee Seung Yeon on my screen, she's absolutely incredible!! all the other cast seems good aswell!
