I saw a user down below comment how it seems as if the writers are pissed and use the characters and book as revenge and honestly I agree. I came here to comment the same thing. I don't think that was what Daemi had initialy in mind when thinking of a sequel. It really gives off a vibe that they are pissed for some reason. I read another comment that said they had the actors in mind while writing the book and honestly that kind makes sense cause I don't trust those writers with the cast π. Time and time again they have proved how unprofessional they are, nothing new. We should not be surprised at the plot of the book. At this point I don't care if we get season 2, if we get it we new a whole new plot so maybe then it is better to see the actors in a new project.
As for KinnPorsche I will just stick to fanfic, they are better written anyway , more in character and with actual development.
I remember the first time Macau was introduced in the series. He might have come out as a spoiled rich brat who depends too much on his father and their status but the reality is far from that. Even if he was not given enough ( actually almost none) screentime to tell his story we got to know a bit of his truth through Vegas' perspective and the books also provided more info.
''You shoould not be my son''
''you are just as stupid as your mother''
'' It is unfortunate to be born into the minor family, It is the same for Macau''
Macau might not have it as hard as Vegas, since he seems to be not involved too much in the family affairs related to mafia, but that does not mean he escaped the abuse as well. Vegas as the older brother saw it as his duty to protect Macau and he was probably dealing with it before Macau was born, so he wanted to protect him as much as he could but there was so much he could do.
Vegas is a smart man but he was not able to disregard the envy and hatred that Kan planted inside him. Macau did not escape it either. He saw the way his brother was treated, the only person he truly cares about and the only person that loves him. His hatred for the main family also grew as it was one of the sources for his dea brother's misery, a misery that Kan brought him.
His reaction when Porsche, a bodyguard that works for the main family, called him a maid's kid made sense. In his eyes he can not catch a break, even sitting by the river minding his business is not allowed as the main family in a way interfers. This was the only opportunity Macau had to complain to his father because Kan only plays the good father in front of others to maintain an image. It is often that a broken family might seem perfect or normal in the eyes of the outsider but no one can truly know the abuse that is going on.
Even if Macau is not involved in the family business, and that makes him seem more detached to what is happening around him the truth might be that it is affecting him even more. A false sense of security is created but in reality he has to deal with the harsh reality. Just because a problem is ingored it does not mean it is not there. Kan ruined both of his sons but in different ways. While Vegas seems to seek for Kan's approval and love, Macau might be seeking to break free from him. He probably considers the main family as the source of their unhappiness as he witnesses Vegas' daily torture, seeing Kan blame Vegas about everything relating it all to themHe probably wish that they had grown up in a loving environment but I don't think he seeks for Kan's approval the same way Vegas does as he did not have to carry the same weight of responsibility the same way Vegas did. And that might consume him with guilt, which is why he wants Vegas to be free of that weight, free of Kan.At the same time he probably also feels neglected and not good enough, cause if Vegas, his brother who goes to the moon and beyond to satisfy Kan and his efforts are not recognized, then Macau is a nobody since he is not involved in the business.
Macau is a precious , lonely soul who deserves happiness.
FOR REALThe authors just want Vegas to suffer the most. Like what is their definition of their supposed ''happy…
I mean I get the setting is in mafia and the story is suppoed to be dark so it makes sense if the characters deal with many traumatic situations but I think the authors just want to add more trauma for the character for the sake of shock value
Quick reminder that Vegas said that everyone he loves ends up leaving him, will now receive more trauma knowing…

I knew since chapter 1 was out that I would hate the novel. For me it does not exist and if there is a second season of this series they better write their own storyline.

Macau and Chay are our babies!
Daemi do not deserve them
Why Kinn wants to Kill Porsche?
Why Vegas shot Pete?
What are Daemi smoking while writign this shit?
