I agree with you and disagree with Kinn's doubts that Tankhun is acting crazy on purpose. Tankhun was sheltered since he was kidnapped. He has not dealt with his trauma properly and no one paid attention to him in a way to help him overcome his trauma and develop his social skills.
He is not trained like Kinn and Kim to take part in action and fightings, but they let him take part in family meetings and include him in the important matters, but they still act oveprotective towards him. He never goes anywhere without his bodyguards, and thus he grew close to them.
