I just want to point out that Vegas is not completely heartless . And Pete did not change him, he is the one changing for Pete, to become a worthy partner for him and if he was completely heartless he would not be able to do it. It means there was an ounce of kindness and compassion inside him and Pete found it and brought it out of him. Pete resuced Vegas' heart from drowning completely in darkness and loneliness. If Vegas was completely evil he would mock Pete's outlook in life and would not even evaluate anything Pete had told him because he would think that Pete , as a hostage, is not in a place to preach and lecture about life. It is another sign that he is a product of the environment he was raised in, imagine what kind of person he could become if it was not for his father abuse.However, on the other hand, as Pete said, people are always provided with choices and Vegas chose the dark path, it showcases that he is not a completely angel either, if he is driven to the edge he won't hesitate to show cruelty and be merciless. I just love how complicated and well-written Vegas is.

I am sure they have no problem initiating sex, they are not as horny as KP but if they managed to bury a hedgehog, go through a mental breakdown and then have sex all the same night, I am sure they can have sex under calmer circumstances.
