I am just salty over the lost potential of VegasPete. Their story is capable of shaking the bl world but the adaptation took that away from them by rushing it.
I was and still am trying hard to seperate the novel from the series, I have accepted the changes but there are still some complains that I need to get off my chest.
They really ruined Pete's character this episode. Pete having the chance to escape but tossing it away to comfort Vegas who was crying over his dead pet was stupid. He risked his freedom to console Vegas which does not make sense. They ended up making Pete seem like he has a Stockholm Syndrome but my guess is that the scene was supposed to prove the oppsoite but it did not work because of some rushed parts. They really skipped important parts of their relationship becasue they are trying to fit 10 chapters into 10 minutes and it is clearly not going to work.
Next, concerning the sex scene, honestly it felt a bit weird, first of all because of the music, what was its purpose? Also I expected their first time to be either kinky or emotional and it was neither. They were driven by lust and they were tryingt to deal with their emotions using sex. Vegas mainly, as he was trying to deal with the loss of his hedgehog. I felt that Pete was the one getting attached and it only makes it seem more like a Stockholm syndrome when it is cearly not that the case in the novel. Plus, Vegas was supposed to be a sex machine and he only lated for 30 secs? At least he used a condom but since he likes sex safe, he should know that you are not supposed to open a condom with your teeth cause there is risk of tearing it.
Now I will move on to things that I liked. I loved Pete's sarcasm in the beginning. I liked their kiss, I liked how pete was the one who initiated it and I loved Vegas' smirk when he was kissed by Pete. I liked how Vegas ate that ass , ass ( pun intended) he should. Vegas kissing Pete's hands when he tied them was chef's kiss cause it showcased a sign of trust between the two.However , I am still disappointed. I expected some moaning, Vegas kissing Pete's tattoo or some after care/cuddles after sex and we got nothing . They really let us starve even when the story is supposed to be focusing on other couples. I am gonna try and convince myself into thinking that Vegas was being gentle since it was Pete's first time.
Plus, I can't get out of my mind the fact that Pete probably did not shower in days neither did he brush his teeth and they had sex like that and kissed.
All in all, I need a VegasPete series that will start over their story and let us see all the stages of it.

Well I kept saying that VP story might get rushed and they are trying to wrap it up in like two eps when they have their own side chapters in the main novel. But If I seperate VP from the novel and the VP from the series as two different stories I can enjoy VegasPete in the series as well. It is a good thing that Bible and Build have a strong chemistry or else VP arc would be doomed. All in all, I feel that VP deserved their own series or in order to have their story properly told.
