Pete might be Tankhun's main bodyguard but Kinn also uses his services and sends him on missions, like in this case now, he ordered him to spy on Vegas and Vegas knows it, that is why he messed around with him.
The reason why he took Pete with him in the truck back on their mission in ep 7 could have been so he could keep an eye on Pete, since he knows Pete is digging up dirt on him so he can send the info to Kinn. Vegas keeps a close eye on Pete because Pete does the same.
He might be interested in a sense that he finds it entertaining to mess with Pete. Vegas loves messing with people and especially with Kinn and his people. He wants to mess with Pete as an appetizer, have Porsche as the main dish and leave Kinn as a dessert.
Pete does not have much influence on Vegas' life and that will soon change.This is one of the things that make Vegas and Pete's sotry more exciting. I love how Vegas has no idea how important Pete will become to him, I can't wait to see him beg for Pete's forgiveness.
