Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
It started with the leads having meals and comforting each otherThen He confessed to herThen the grandmother died…
This is and always has been the trajectory of Wan's life. Whenever she is happy and gets thr taste of love or warmth, life slaps her with the utter despair. That is why XX is always so protective and cautious with her. And why she is always so anxious to love and be loved.

guys does it getter better after ep 2 im insanely bored and rly don’t wanna waste my time again
Its a slow beginning but fast paced. The atory building always needs time. And considering its a "connect the dots" from past and present kinda drama, it is bound to be a but slow at times.

Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
Absolutely nonsense! Lu Xi Xiao could have saved that girl if he was on the other side of the railing don't know…
To make it more dramatic and cliche i must say. This was not supposed to be like this and in my opinion never should have been modified. The actual notion of his trauma and more importantly the trauma response jas been weighed down SO MUCH just to input some FL-ML chemistry cliche life saving thing just... i donno made this drama more light hearted? He never came even near the railing. He was traumatized just by the scene of that gurl near that railing and that was enough for him to get dejavu and replace the entire scene with his past flashbacks. His mind wasnt here at all untill Wan came in between and started to talk about her life struggles and how no one has it easy but giving up aint the solution and all. Wan broke Xiao's trench and brought him back to reality and also somehow broke that girl's resolve to give up on life. Wan saved both without the "heroic" actions.
My question is, was this way of saving not enough? Was it really necessary to make a traumatic response this weightless and make a "imma save my man" kinda thing?

At this point i am gonna assume i am watching a drama which didnt have a novel. It will help me getting less dissatisfied with the "adaption" and more enjoyable as an "independent story".

Much of their relationship occurs in the past. The atory build is happena all in the past as that is the reason…
NOOOOO! this is gonna be 60/40. Cause they will be solving everything left in the dark in 2016. The misunderstanding, reunion, him forgiving her, her accepting that "love" is something she doesn't need to need to be scared of or will disappear. Because she had never known how love works you see. We will see her growing along with him.

This is a reverse role drama. It aint anything new in Cdramas where male leads makes mistakes, takes the wrong…
True. XX looks more realistic to me. Like this is a very normal reaction for a human. I liked reading him a lot. Sang yan in the novel was also kind of sassy but the drama Sang yan was like a moutain with the ever- so -unmoving patience. Almost like a monk but just super thirsty and hungry 🤣🤣

Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
She is using him, yes.Not for money from him or his family. She doesnt want luxury. She wants chaos and threaten…
She calls it revenge. Because, every time she wanted to come clean or stop, life threw her a new reason to go on with this deception.
Revenge for what her mother had caused to her grandmother and father. Not every revenge is like some grand plan.
They are comparable in the eyes of any 3rd person seeing them. Both deceived and "used" others for their own means. Regardless of what the reason was, people being used were hurt. And in the novel, her revenge was successful but her end goal failed.

I donno what made them pull this "our fault" move of making Wan move in as a "god daughter". They destroyed SO many plots and moments with just this one change. That calling "brother" moment was suppoaed to be like salt on open wound kinda thing, but...

Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
if i hadn't watched the drama myself, i'd think the female lead is using the male lead for getting herself chanel…
She is using him, yes.
Not for money from him or his family. She doesnt want luxury. She wants chaos and threaten the "peace" her mother has now by being a constant living proof of her past and present deceptions.
So, Wan's mother lived a life of deceptions and Wan is now living a life of deception. Thus they are comparable.
The money Wan asked from her mother, has nothing to do with LXX's family or him, that was supposed to be legally the money Wan was supposed to have due to her fathers death. And that money wouldn't have in the picture if grandma didnt need it. If they follow the novel, that money wont be even used cause Wan will lose the reason to use it.
Wan used XiXiao just by being near him would allow one day to be seen and lure her mother and make her mother think that Wan is doing the aame as she heraelf did-"trap a rich man" and that will expoae mommy san's lies abought being a good waifu.

Guys, I've watched two episodes, but will they continue for much longer in 2016?
Much of their relationship occurs in the past. The atory build is happena all in the past as that is the reason the future aka 2026's reunion can be understood. So, 2016's timeline should be quite long.

Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
I really waited for this drama for so long but I am so disappointed after watching this
This is a reverse role drama. It aint anything new in Cdramas where male leads makes mistakes, takes the wrong decisions and leaves the female lead for "her own good" and then grovel more or less and gets forgiven.

While the novel had the female lead's version more cruel and as much drowning in guilt, she is indeed a character neither the readers nor the viewers will forgive easily. She was driven to her worst self due to circumstances surrounding her, due to not having a single soul ever peotecting her. She "matured" early but nothing in her action ever ahowed maturity even when she came back almost 7 years later(10 years in the drama). The mele lead is like Sang Yan but not like sang yan at the same time. While Sang yan NEVER ever blamed YiFan for hurting him to the point it aounds unrealistic, XiXiao hated her as much as he wanted her. He hated the fact that he can NEVER stop wanting her even though he was hurt with such cruelty. He gave in to his nees for her and she, without much change, again walked in back in his life just because he wanted her, he asked her to.

P.S: the drama has significant changes in the plotline. Wan's revenge was never like this. She moved behind the scene. And due to guilt eating her at every step, she avoied any mention or revelation of being anyway familiar with her mother. As ahe knew Xiao aint a dumb boy. He can sense and make a 1+1. But in the drama, i donno why they brought in this "godmother" shit. Wan's biological mother never had much braincells but in the drama she has some working and i dont like it 🤣🤣

Title On My Way
Plot sounds great minus the overly vague “ ventures into Africa”. Once again, Africa is a continent. You say…
While reading the novel, i got the feeling that the reason they kept it as Africa (the continent) and not specific to any cities because they dont explore the culture or anything positive/negative about Africa. The context is just the girl chose to go to a place which is typically connected to "a life not smooth sailing" and majorly unexplored. And this journey to an unpopular, unexplored and life of struggle made that girl's go through a huge character development which she might not have went through if she were to remain in China (the comfort zone). Africa is not talked about with the sense of sceneries, or food or people, just a typical sense of a rough land without the comfort of home, i believe.

Title Love between Lines Spoiler
The intamacy shift after episode 26 is just mind blowing. This actress HONESTLY has the best natural way to bring out chemistry with her male leads. Like the subtle one when it was just crush, then the longing one when they were in a "situationship" XD and then the sweet one before the "hiccup". But after 26th episode, they are like 2 body one soul kinda intimate chemistry. urgh! imma miss this!

I loved the way the most cliche scenarios were played out to be kinda different in this drama. One thing about the attempted break up. I admired the way of him actually holding on to that line he spoke "Don't end it like this" when he pretty much have in to her with that kiss. He persisted and actually showed "you are more important right now" rather than his entire image pretty much being destroyed. He didnt leave any chance to hold onto her. Unlike in the cliche of "accepting" the dramatic break up, he persisted. then comes the next one of hero saving his lady and that also wasnt actually a typical one. Her role in being saved and saving gave the perfect balance in the characters. No one was the weak one here who needed one sided saving AT ALL. funnily that cliche make me like the character arc of the 2nd ML. not like I had one ounce of feeling that his love deserved a chance, but even with a momentary lapse of action due to jealousy, episode 26's last few minutes showed how he assorted everything within himself. The acting is just too well derserving when you can see his emotions coming all together and settled down. When he opned the door and saw Zhiyu with a file, if it was past him we all know his expression would be like a arrogant ass who wanna pisss ZY off. but he was almost calm as the sky and letting everything come out. I wouldnt have been surprised if there would a scene where he worked his way to help ZY and expose his father. But, didnt happen.

ALSO, special mention to this man who picks up the ladies like they weigh NOTHING. I am waiting for somebody to make a reel of him picking up his ladies :3

That hug after his momentary fear of losing her, was one of the most natural AND raw expression in drama world. It depicted the genuine feelings so well. Like he didnt even wanna leave one breath gap at that moment and if it was possible he could have just merge with her entirely. And the way she hugged him back was soooo beautiful, like without words uttered by him or any need to to ask why he was being like that, she juat assured him with her presence and as much closeness as he needed. I just love their chemistry!

So, you are telling me within the next 9 episode we are getting 24 kisses AND a break up + misunderstanding + patch up + down fall of this that and who ever + ..... imma be riding a roller-coaster now? The epiaode trailers give me high blood sugar and high blood pressure at the same time!

Point to be noted: how did this man even managed to "hide" and "endure" for 20+ epiaodes? He ( and she as well) is thirsty af 🤣🤣

Title The First Frost Spoiler
While I love the novel very much, Its sad its changed. Which show all the good qualities of SY and a very perfect…
I aint blaming YiFan, I thought i made the point clear that the screen writers are just pulling a typical drama move.

The drama made it realistic, yes in a sense. But in my eyes they just made YiFan the only one with flaws while Sang yan is now the perfect male lead. He will wait no matter how many times, how long and how deep she has hurt him. YiFan is traumatised, yes. She chose to escape, okay fine. Sounds realistic. What about Sang Yan's trauma? Every now and then, it was emphasised how hard it had been for him and how broken he was as well with what she had done to him. She is not to blame at all. But adult YiFan took every pain SangYan felt into consideration. Even in the drama, YiFan is like that. In the novel Sang Yan was also had significant flaws. He might have been raised in a warm and stable family but not to forget, Sang fam was a Daughter fool family. Sang yan had his fair share of difficulties to express emotions. Sang Yan also grew in the relation with YiFan. Now in the drama Sang yan is a 10.
And i didnt get the nuance of love beats it all in the novel, sorry. It was YiFan who beats it. And in the next episodes she will actually. Its just typical drama move how she just abandoned her love, friend, job and stuggled the same way she did in university and within months she got back on her feet again. Here it seems love beats it all. Love made her leave to "protect", made her struggle like did not have anyone to rely on again, made her relive that life of loneliness to realise this time she is actually not lonely so she began to shine and pursue her long lost dream of dancing and thus letting Sang Yan walk to her. Its always her shutting the door and Sang yan being the puppy waiting for the door to open.

Just think of another drama and this move being done by the 2nd fl who abandons the ml to "protect" and then coming back when the male lead just began to heal and fall for someone else. Same stunt, different pov, but we would have cursed the 2nd fl. This is typical drama move. That was my point. YiFan being the bold and strong adult who chose to walk straight to that human piece of trash and declaring war AND more importantly telling off her nonsense of a mother in episode 23 was not a woman who was determined to run away, that was a woman who had reached the breaking point of tolerance and finally took the sword to "protect".
