XZ had a new drama coming end of June/beginning of July most likely and then another probably around winter holidays in China here and is filming a major project so hoping to see you around there too 🥰

You can't have a S2 of this drama without Xiao Zhan. He basically created this Zanghai IP. Audience in China would not accept it. Can they put a random actor as the ML in S2? Sure. And then it is dead on arrival. ZXL/Chunyu is neither Tencent nor Xinli and investors have changed their tunes with the freezing front hitting cent. If they announced this, they have at least a preliminary agreement of some kind.
The production team is the same, which means at least Zhou Qi will return because he is signed with Chunyu. I don't know about ZJY but even if she decides not to, it can be worked around (I want her back, to be clear, I just genuinely don't know her plans).
