Despite the ups and downs of this show, one thing I can say for sure is that the ending WAS PERFECT!!! The last scene, the post credit, the ambiguity it brought, all in all, it was perfect.
I did find some parts a bit too slow, so the forward 10s button was occasionally used, but the story as a whole was very intriguing and I did enjoy the two parallel stories that we got from this show.
Acting wise, Ollie's acting waas amazing, aa well as Shu Yuan and the other cast members. And Wu rong was just so hot in the show.
And the kiss scene between the boss and the director, I think it was just a "why tf not" but it was hilarious!! 🤭
Also the monk killer guy seemed to recognise Kaye 👀
Also Mr. Detective, please focus on the case and not the pretty man you're treating as a pseudo cop, seriously there was sooo much flirting in this last ep!!
I hope this becomes a milestone in KBLs and there's a trend of more high production KBLs with great plotlines other than just romance.
Really really amazed by Mr. Ju's actor bcuz BOY was he acting, especially in the final 2 eps!!
Although I did find the whole murder mystery a bit hard to follow at first, kept getting confused between the different cases, but that could just be a me thing and not the show's fault but idk.
Also Mr. Ju: "I respect all your fetishes." BOY CALM TF DOWNNN!!! 😭
Last couple episodes bored me a bit, and I found myself skipping alot. TayNew were the best part of the show, their acting and chemistry made it watchable.
Toto as a character is still memorable but Kanit and other are quite forgettable.
Obviously New and Tay's acting saved the show. Was quite excited for Mond's storyline at first but didn't get invested into Akki and Veha's storyline at all.
Still giving it a 7.5/10 cuz the chemistry did the heavy lifting as the storyline was mid.
THE SISTERR!!! omfg such a bitch!! Idk how old she's supposed to be, but I'm guessing atleast 16 or 17, that's old enough to have a brain!!!!
And Shi Yuhao!! Take a fvcking hint!! He's pmo so badd, no one wants u there!! The ACTOR did eat with that 'talking to Qinglang when he was asleep' scene.

AND MY POOR QINGLANG!! Man was STRUGGLING without his husband 😭😭 He's so used to the princess treatment that he gets.
And the post credit scene was adorable; ghost husband lol🤭
Tee's character saying he's gonna restore Kaye's faith in the justice system.. by stopping the 'monster' that killing the BAD people, and the powerful people that were doing the bad stuff before, they just get to keep on.. doing whatever? I found that to be such a hypocritical scene.
DEW'S ACTING!!!! omgg he plays the duality so seemlessly, neither seem like an act- his eyes when he was in the bus talking about Nekros and when he saw the body and suffered an anxiety attack. another really good episode.
Them translating Gege as 'Brother' is so jarring lol
it IS the correct translation, i know that. but the meaning of the word carries different weight in chinese and english. i was just making a comment, not saying that the translation is wrong..
