Yes it's ridiculous but it's pretty obvious why.
Young actors who lose their careers over nothing have young fans who 'cancel' them. He does not.
Other than that he's pretty old so he's been in the industry for a long time. Why does it matter? Because he's got loads of connections. The fact that he got busted for pimping out young actress with a promise of getting a role says it all. He certainly doesn't lack power in this industry.
Furthermore he was kinda cancelled for about 5 years (2002-2007) judging from his filmography.
What's really crazy is that he got 160 hours (a month) of community work for it while you can see people go to jail for doing drugs or gambling.

Honestly my brain stopped working around episode 17. The whole ex-wife situation and FL being pretty much okay with this made no sense to me.
