in my opinion it's not excessive since he is in that profession. i am pretty sure all his team thinks the same. if anything he was handling himself quite well till now even after getting into a tragedy. that makes him strong not weak, but if he chooses the other path that doesn't mean i am against it, that is also the mentality of a strong person as long as he remains rational becoz humans tend to lose rationality while trending on the path of revenge.
