An entertaining watch

Well, truth be told, I watched this drama after witnessing the amazing performance by Lee Do Hyun in 'The good Bad Mother'.
I loved LDH's acting (tears roll down my cheeks, whenever I see him cry, he's just too good).
Everyone did a great job at acting.
It's got a nice story, what I didnt like was how there were so many moments, where he was on the verge of getting caught , but didnt in the end, it was fine for the first and second time, but it became annoying later in the show. There were quite a few repetitive scenes, that felt a little boring.
Humor was just amazing. Deok Jin, Ae Rin, and the people at JBC added much fun to the drama.
Overall it was an entertaining watch, with ample slice of life scenes, which I believe many can relate to. It could have been cut short by 2 episodes ( felt it was a bit lengthy). But that's okay. It's a great watch, comedy, emotions, everything pitched in perfectly fine.

And this is what you call PERFECT

Wow! What a freaking good story.
Its been quite a while since I've loved a drama sooo much.

In one line: It was Awesome

Spectacular Plot, splendid acting, mind blowing execution, an amazing mix of happiness, sorrow, love & comedy, whats not to like about this drama.

Plot : this drama is a masterpiece. It was amazing experience to watch a story such nicely woven. Each and every minute in every single episode, totally worth it. And just the perfect kind of happy ending. Though I wish we had more Kang Ho-Mi Joo scenes, but that's okay.

Acting : Lee Do Hyun &Ahn Jin have been phenomenal. (I've seen Ahn Jin in the hospital playlist and have loved her work ever since, and LDH is just LDH). The cast was superb, everyone did a great job. The twins OMG they are so freaking good. It was so much fun to watch Seo Jin & Ye jin.

I had this drama in my watchlist since it started airing. But after finishing this, OMO I fell in love with this drama. I'm short of words for how amazing this drama has been.
I hope this Drama gets multiple awards at Baeksang. ❤️

A Tale of Brilliance, Sacrifice, and Satisfying conclusion.

I just finished watching this beautiful drama, and it was quite an experience. The first couple of episodes were so captivating that I ended up binge-watching 10 to 12 episodes in a single sitting. While the pace slowed down a bit when the FL went to Luoyang and her hometown, it wasn’t too bad and still held my interest.

The strategic planning and scheming were masterfully written. I loved how sharp the leads were, constantly decoding their opponents' plans and crafting brilliant counter-strategies. The story was intriguing and kept me hooked throughout.

Some moments hit me deeply, like Tong, the maidservant, sacrificing her life and the FL proving her father’s innocence before the emperor. The ending was absolutely satisfying, especially the extra five minutes—it felt like a treat for the viewers.

However, I was disappointed with the decision to kill off Wenji and the other personal guard of Duke Su in the final 15 minutes. They were fantastic characters, and their deaths felt unnecessary.

Although I’m not usually a fan of period dramas, this one was undeniably excellent. It was a bit long, but given the complexity of the story, it felt justified.

Its a refreshing plot.

I was drawn to this show mainly because of Seo In Guk. After watching him in Death's Game, I knew I had to give this one a try. Although the supernatural genre isn't usually my thing, I decided to take the plunge. The series started with a fresh, unique concept that kept me hooked with each new episode. One advantage of watching it in 2024 was the ability to binge-watch and fast-forward, which helped me finish it in a day.

However, as the show progressed, it did start to feel repetitive. I think it would have worked better as a 12-episode drama. While the SML and SFL subplot was charming and engaging, it felt overly stretched, especially with the focus on Na Ji Na's school scenes. The last-minute memory loss twist and extended it for one whole episode didn't quite resonate with me
What ultimately made me appreciate this drama was Episode 16. Typically, I’m not a fan of last-minute reunions, but this show delivered an hour-long finale that allowed the happy ending to truly settle in. That alone bumped my rating from a 7 to an 8.

If you’re considering a supernatural-themed drama, give this one a shot. While you might not enjoy every aspect, make sure you don’t miss the last episode—it was the highlight for me.

The perfect drama for Introverts out there. So relatable.

This story is so different from all the stories out there. I had this in my watchlist ever since it aired, wondering whether to watch it or not . But it turned out well. I liked it .
The way this story unviels the inner state of individuals, people in general, just amazing.
Relationships, friendships ; we see contrasts of everything in this story ( introverts-extroverts, the rich‐ poor , good mother- bad mother, good people- bad people) literally everything. Its like a mashup of everything, life is about .
It is about a process of healing, loving oneself no matter what. No matter how hard the circumstances become, no matter how hard it gets, one must not stop loving oneself.

This story teaches us that love and hatred, happiness & sadness, loneliness, are all subjective. Our stat of mind has a huge impact on things we go through in daily life. It all depend upon how you choose to see it. Its all about the outlook .

The comedy is at another level. Mi jeong 's sibilings are hilarious at times.
Ki Jung talking about his diarrhea with Mr Gu, Gi Jung's plot about losing her memory & the "Pick up girl" story were so funny that i literally couldnt stop laughing out loud for minutes. 😆

I find the line "Na Gu ssi" just amazing. It is one of my favourite lines from the show. I dont know why. Maybe because it brought a ray of hope, and opened the door to happiness in Mi Jeong's life.

As far as acting is concerned, it was amazing. I'm in love with Kim Ji Won's acting, she's too good. (God, i love her voice). Mr Gu, OMG, given his serious alcoholism , i still found him great, somehow. Probably because Suk ku looks just too good in this. All the other actors have done a great job, thats why it turned out to be so great.
Liked it a lot.
