That chapter in the novel is porn basically. (I'm not against porn, but the part where they talk about pain is quite sad) In the drama PROBABLY this is what we're going to get: Kissing with clothing flying/lying around shown & then the part of dealing with the hickies, that's it, which is enough tbh.

Going from 30 to 12 is not the same I think. We'll see..

Every drama needs a lot of time to get through that process. (as evidenced by contemporary drama characters often using phones 3-5 years out of date)
Urban-fantasy shows like this one will need more from the get go, even if we ignore the potential difficulties to adopt this specific story in a way that would be acceptable to the censors, it would still take a LONG time to get it done. Which is a shame, because I too would love to start watching this yesterday, but it is what it is.

You don't have to, but it would be a tiny bit better. There is about 10 minutes so far that would be more enjoyable have you seen Hidden Love.

We are in the finish line now, the progress is quite decent in this genre I would say.

-high level of acting
-cinematography / mood setting
-decent dialog

It's special, but only for those that can enjoy slow romance dramas. Not everyone is like that.

In the earliest episodes we have FL daydreaming what her life could've been, had she made a different decision back then. How else would one interpret that?

..then the ship may sail tomorrow or the day after. We are at chapter42 in the drama & they get together in 49.

If the plot follows the novel..

The drama unlike the novel has some pretty annoying flies buzzing a lot. Mu Cheng Yun is incredibly annoying right now.(as of e12) I get it that the FL will never look at him, but good gawd..

The trailer has the sleepwalking into his bed scene, did they cut that out from the drama?

Rather the drama writer has no business changing so many things, the book is a treasure trove of fun quality dialog.

That's one of the most unusual & best things about this drama.

I currently watched this up to e9. While this is far from flawless, it's really quite interesting for a drama of this type & I have a feeling the second half will be a lot better than what we've seen now. Can still see myself give above 9 starts when all this is over.

I only had 10 minutes of Xiang Lang as of e4, but i'm concerned already..

While it's a wonderful cat, I think it's really stupid the story is trying to sell it as a rescued stray. (It's a $1000 cat)
