Imo the plot does not have to be new or innovative, but it has to be decent. (prefer a copied plot over a terrible one)To me it's also very important for the writers to respect me as a viewer instead of random retcons, personality adjustments everywhere.

.. since the writer already moved the plot to heavy melodrama territory once, I fully expect that Moeum's mom will blow her top about the man with a flaw thing.

Yeah, ep8 is not great. Unless the ex gets deleted from the script in the next episode or so, a good rating from me is less than likely.

As for the illness, she has probably recovered from cancer & now it's relapse scare phase. (Captain Obvious I know)
