It's not exceptional, though it did have one exceptional episode.

It's a bit overrated, but it's decent.

I'm yet to watch the episode, but i think this is just bad writing. Let's just remove the "weakness" with a plot twist, instead of dealing with an adult situation.

Look at My Sweet Mobster for example: The top 2 visible reviews are 8 & 10 and oh boy it's surely not very difficult to bash that one.

In the Western world actors employ agents or agencies to find work and are mostly self employed. In Asia mostly actors are trained & exploited by agencies, which are often huge companies.

In China there are a bunch of companies that are trying to do this with live streamers/influencers with varying levels of success. This is similar to the Asian agency model for actors, but far worse because they are creating the content with commercial intent in mind, so it's kind of like trying to build a fandom for their streamers first & then focusing on advertisement as much possible, basically just cashing out until the streamer needs to find a new carrier. (It's difficult to sustain a lengthy carrier as a streamer, if every minute on screen is all about selling a product to your viewers)

I'm watching episode 1 right now & based on that ML is working for such a company.

Sometimes it's there sometimes it's not. On a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is like Jo In Sung & Gong Hyo Jin's chemistry in `It's Okay, That's Love` & 1 is Park Min Young with Song Kang in `Forecasting Love and Weather` I would say it's about a 6.5.

I have a feeling (and I'm not judging) that Minah knowing that she will have to play a 33 yo FL with an even younger ML underwent botox treatment before the drama & this has led to some of her facial expressions being quite a bit less expressive and animated than what I'm used to from her & this has a big effect on the perception of on screen chemistry. (could be off base here & I'm sure angry MDL users will bash me to death if they see this comment)

I understand that a percentage of people wouldn't like this show & write or even upvote bad reviews of it, I get it.

I just think it's really out of proportions with Lovely Runner. In my experience even far far far worse dramas tend to have positive reviews as the most upvoted / helpful reviews.

This is what's in the second most upvoted review :D I mean I have a difficulty believing that 385 real humans read this review & upvoted it, it's just not very realistic.

That was not even too bad, they did not break up.

Compared to something like Because This Is My First Life, or I'm Not a Robot .

It's almost like someone paid the water army to upvote the extreme outlier bad reviews.

The top10 rated reviews are all negative reviews. What the heck, I have never seen anything like this on MDL.

(especially considering how enjoyable this is)

Bears in general are on the northern hemisphere, with very few exceptions like the Andean bear.

Polar bears reside in the not so near vicinity of the north pole.

Unless they follow the formula where they break up in the e11 cliffhanger & then get back together 3 minutes before the closing credits.

There are no polar bears in Antarctica.

Most epis are like that. The average is about 1h15-20mins so far.

Could it be because the episodes are unusually long?

It doesn't work if your partner's partner is not your partner too in some shape or form.
However managing that harmoniously is something that's close to impossible. (evolutionary biology & the evolution of our societies may have something to do with it as well)

People whom supported MDL with real $ can add & vote for tags. It's not just something that one person can significantly influence.
