Korean idol singers are basically professional dancers, being a pretty and skilled dancer is the most important factor. There are exceptions of course, but in a typical idol group of seven it's already miraculous, if 3 of them have singing talent.

Not even the writers know, if there is going to be a love triangle or not. It's live filming and live writing, the feedback of the Korean audience will matter. The teasers don't mean anything, teasers often end up non canon .

I think without Goblin, dramas like Hotel Del Luna, Tale of the Nine Tailed, Mystic Popup Bar and Angel's Last Mission would not have been made. Goblin's influence can be felt in more ways than one.

It's not like Netflix is not doing the same with trying to change the kdrama format to have multiple seasons.

On MDL selection bias is a huge thing. Everyone reads reviews and drama summaries and people are unlikely to start/rate something they wouldn't enjoy. (unlike your significant other, or kids dragging you to the cinema, or watching something on TV while being half asleep)

Imdb is no longer what it once was, big AAA productions used to be inflated by fake votes. Now it's even weirder though, the ratings make no sense for some recent (oscar winning) movies.

I agree with you 100%. I understand that if people like something they want more of it, but I wish they realized that the reason why they like these shows is because they tell complete stories in 16 episodes..

I have watched and even reviewed Flower of Evil. Anyhow the point I was trying to make is that no matter how great Flower of Evil and Beyond Evil were and how well the actors in question performed in those shows, the average viewership ratings in South Korea were relatively low for both, so they have a negligible chance for Daesang. (average ratings of 3.927% and 4.716% respectively)

Only commercially successful dramas win big awards, it's unfair, but that's just how it is.

This is one of the best romance dramas I have ever seen. 9+ dramas are non romance and also some ppl just gave this a low rating due to not liking to watch mental illness related stuff.
