Tbh, I did not enjoy ep 7 very much, unlike the other eps. It felt kind of half-assed and a lot of things were quite predictable, except one car scene (iykyk). However, I hope it gets better again in EP 8š¤
Haters - there are many MDLers coming for this series in a negative way. I believe constructive critisism is always…
That's the same question I have lol. I noticed that in the Knock Out comments section too. Toxic haters don't have any jobs to do haha. Like you said, Constructive criticism is always welcome. However, CC and hate for no reason are two very different things! I love your commentā„ļø
Gosh, I want Ava to beat Ramil in fencing at least once š¤š His misogynistic ass is pissing me offš. I donāt trust Khaninās grandpa one bit. Heās very much giving āpower-hungry manipulative bastard vibesā. I also donāt trust the bio dad either. His character feels too pathetic and push-overy to me, which makes me feel more sus. My gut feeling says he has something to do with the adoptive dadās disappearance. Or he has some evil in him too. Iāve watched too many dramas, so i canāt comfortably trust any nice characters haha. Something about the blue/meen-something kingdomās king also feels off to me, but weāll see. This theory has no backup whatsoever, but what if Netās character was something the blue kingdomās heir!!!! And the blue king is trying to protect his son from the assassins!!!!
Gosh, Im enjoying each episode more and more! This ep was a particularly good mix of drama, comedy, and hints of romanceā„ļø PROS -Fantastic budget/chemistry -I love that we're beginning to get more info into the inner relationships of the four kingdoms and their rulers. -Cute scene with the finger kiss!!!! Gah, I loved it!!! I'm happy Charan just didn't outright kiss him. -We love sassy mc khanin. I liked that his character is still so bold and sassy even after everything that has happened. -Ava's inclusion into the competition. I'm impressed by how a bl drama has brought up topics like gender inclusion. Reminds me of 'not me' a little bit. -NetJJ intro. JJās character looks sooo sweet, like such a puppy š„ŗ CONS -Bio dad's reaction. Now, I can maybe understand that he's feeling awkward and wants to make khanin feel comfy or whatever. But, my issue is that, Even before this ep, when the king told his son about khanin being alive, I didn't get the reaction I was expecting. His reaction looked like someone was telling him that his fav candy was back in stock lol. None of his reactions have convinced me so far, but Iām hoping we get a little bit more info from his perspective.
Beginning to notice a lot of actor fans being critical of the mc and the main relationship. But, tbh, this doesnāt not feel like constructive criticism. It feels more like people are upset that a certain actor is not the mc. Remember yāall, Keenās is neither a boxer or a fighter. Heās just a guy in debt trying to survive and itās only been two epsš Thereās barely anything shown about the main relationship this early in. Not trying to attack anyone or anything. Everyone has their own opinions, but itās too early to make such hard judgements is what Iām tryna sayš¤·āāļø
I actually really enjoyed EP 2, way more than episode 1. The editing and the pacing of the drama is way better. I liked the action sequences too (especially, since it doesn't have the slo-mo). I'm so excited to see all the secondary characters introduced in this episode. The Slytherin prince is certainly irritating me with his misogyny though lol. I hope the badass princess whoops his ass to get some sense haha. I loved the main leads getting closer little by little and khanin's boyfie/innocent act š¤£š¤£ It was sooo freaking cute. Soo excited to see the new episode!!!!! I usually don't want airing shows, but I couldn't help myself with this oneš
Didn't realize a drama could cause this much tension lmao. It's just a drama. I don't understand the aggression towards it or the main couple. It's one thing if someone genuinely doesn't care for it. It's natural and everyone has different tastes. But to purposefully rate it low just cause some people don't like the main leads is just cheap and childish. To the people to do this, How old are y'all? Seriously, grow up lmfao
PROS:1. New's acting in the breakdown scene with his dad was fantastic!! He portrayed the emotions very well and…
I'm Americanš What I meant was, compared to the millions of other Thai BL's where the characters who are supposedly "foreign-raised" speak with a very Thai heavy accent, Nunew's accent in this drama seems way better in comparison. Is it perfect? No, but I certainly find it more convincing compared to some other Thai BL "foreign-raised". characters. For example, the mc from "ghost host, ghost house" is supposed to have been raised in the States. However, the Thai accent was way more obvious when compared with Nunew's dialogues (ik khanin is from London, but my point still stands). I meant it in a comparison mannerš I should've probably mentioned that hahaš
PROS:1. New's acting in the breakdown scene with his dad was fantastic!! He portrayed the emotions very well and…
Maybe the fight sequence@ the start stands out to me because I do watch a lot of action dramas/movies lol. I just kept comparing it some of the really good sequences I've seenš . Like some parts of it were fine. The fast movements were cool, but during the slo-mo movements, it just felt like they were play fighting for me. I could not take it seriously lol. I do agree about the Zee comment thoughš. That man is fine as hell. I'm glad I pulled you into the eyebrows group though lol. I need someone to suffer with me muahaha š¤£
PROS: 1. New's acting in the breakdown scene with his dad was fantastic!! He portrayed the emotions very well and I even cried a bit too. 2. I don't know much about fencing, but all the fencing scenes looked convincing enough for me unlike some some dramas where the show only weird angles of a sport they're "playing". 3. Production Value is seriously amazing in this drama! 4. New's English was convincing enough for me. Like, I could believe he's been living in London for a while. On the other hand, Paul's dialogues were a little funny though lol. He kept saying "mate" every other sentenceš 5. I loved the bold pocky scene!! Like, I love a character that isn't always shy and blushy. Nothing wrong with it, but the boldness is refreshing to see.
Honestly, most of the issues I had with this ep is with the editing. The story and acting are awesome, but I hope the editing team can do better in the next ep.

CONS:
1. Whoever edited Zee's starting fight scene made a bad decision. The slo-mo edit made the fight scene look really awkward and unrealistic. The scene would've been just fine without the slow motion effect.
2. Sudden cuts between scenes. The way a scene just immediately transitions into another scene, left me a bit disoriented because there were times I was a tad confused about the timeline.
3. I miss black-haired Newš©. Not a con, but I just love Nunew with black hair. I'm okay with them dying his hair in this drama, but the colored brows are throwing me off hahaš . I just couldn't stop looking at his eyebrows lol.
Honestly, most of the issues I had with this ep is with the editing. The story and acting are awesome, but I hope the editing team can do better in the next ep.
