EP 3 - Wow, I’m actually really enjoying this show. EP 3 was exciting as well, especially the second half! I love how petty Khem was with the ‘not everything needs to be known’ line haha. Also, the sexy shaman in the rain and literally every scene🫠 Dude is literally aura farming in every single scene of his lol. I'm also a tiny bit envious of Khem lol. I was like 'That should be meee holding your hand'🤣.. The flashback scene was pretty interesting too. I don't mind that khemmika-phawat storyline at all. Its quite cute! Phawat's brother is sooo nasty for what he did. I can't believe someone can be such a villain to their own family. As for the 3 idiots in this episode, I personally believe they deserve that scare. They were being annoying little shits ngl. I love the soul-saving scene, Phawat's ritual scenes, and the the cave scene. I find them Soo intriguing since I don't know too much about them. It's so interesting to learn about different cultural and religious practices. I love how this drama is focusing on the plot and is giving the rest of the cast a good amount of screen time as well. That's what is making me really get into this show. Like, I like romance and all, but there should be more to dramas other than constant main lead focus and fan-service. If this show continues the way it is, I can defo envision giving it a 9 or a 10.

Yeah, it defo makes sense! I agree! For me, I don't mind red flags in my stories and it I do agree that it's the writer's creativity that tells the story at the end of the day. I just find it interesting how EVERYONE except Khem wanted to ignore the DV. Due to this, it almost portrays the crime of the DV to seem lesser than it is, if that makes sense. Like, I don't want them to definitely do it in one or another. Ik they're doing to show Khem on a higher moral high ground or something, but I just think that's not very realistic and I don't agree with that decision. That's all😄🤷‍♀️ At the end of the day, this is a fictional story and the most I'll do is debate on the topics in the show

No, I agreed with that. Abusers getting away is completely realistic. I'm talking about how all the other characters were portrayed. For example, jet who only cares about Khem and did not want to interfere. Or peem who knew about the abuse, but didn't do anything until Khem interfered

Honestly, I completely agree with everything you said. Ik in some real cases, the abused never leave their abusers. As heartbreaking as that it, it also seems realistic. I could maybe accept the fact that the husband got away scot-free because that happens in real life too, but I was not happy about was how the people around them very behaving, like you said. The reactions truly baffled me and Khem's 'rekindling love's part honestly made me speechless...

Well, tbh, the one I read didn't have super good translation either (I'm pretty sure we read the same one), but I was still able to understand what was happening and I powered through because I was so curious about the story. Update: Just finished reading the novel and IT WAD SOOO GOOD! The plot, the characters, and the twists and turns were amazing. I really enjoyed it! If they just follow this novel correctly, it will definitely be a hit. The romance was pretty slow-burn, but I was completely fine with it. It would be nice to see more slow burn Thai BL's for a change. joongDunk's characters are really the opposite from Heart killers lol. It was fun to read

I hope the drama matches the novel's level of creepiness. I'm reading the novel right now and it's super interesting. Praying/manifesting that they don't try to reduce the creepy/thriller parts of it🙏. Also praying that they don't try to insert EXTRA comedy into this. Honestly, I didn't care too much for the plot and there wasn't much logic, but I came back to say this. I LOVE LOVE LOVE FadelStyle sooo much. I could easily watch multiple seasons of those two. Their entire relationship arc was done Soo beautifully, especially in the scenes in the second half where style comforts Fadel and the scene where they talk through everything. Their chemistry was electrifying as well. Now, this is what confuses me even more. For a director/scriptwriter who could create such an interesting relationship, how could they mess up the KantBison storyline? Like, don't get me wrong. The actors are amazing. I've seen their work and their chemistry is quite good too. It's just that their storyline didn't pull me in at all. I personally think that the whoever wrote their storyline was so in love with the idea of constantly showing them in love (almost like a Disney love story) that they forget about doing proper conflicts/talks for their relationship. It felt like they were constantly shoving in our faces with how in love those characters are, if that makes sense?
As for Dunk’s acting, I do agree that it was a hit or miss, but I do think that comedy is his genre and he excelled in those bits. His sass, comedy, and lines worked very well. I could believe him as Style. He obviously struggled in those emotional bits, but here’s the thing, I know he can do better. He did pretty decent emotional scenes in summer night. So, I almost wonder if it’s because he wasn’t able to quickly transition from the comical crazy style to emotionally vulnerable style. It's just a matter of him needing some more workshops and I do wish someone had directed him properly/guided him to do better in those scenes. It doesn’t help that the background music and editing was a bit nonsensical in those parts as well🤦‍♀️. Either way, I do think that he has improved compared to his previous dramas and I did really enjoy his chemistry and storyline with Joong, so I'm looking forward to their next drama and see how they do.

Honestly, depends on what genre/tone you're in the mood for. If you like toxic and messy relationships, the only Friends is the best. Enigma if you want more non-relationship based plots.
