The director is Lizzy. She also directed 'A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream' https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/285686/cast?language=en-US
Yes! I would be able to do it! I saw a comment from someone that they already submitted info on the director. That's why I didn't do it, but I could do another submission if it still doesn't show up 🙂

ngl, I wanted Sunny to go to jail @_@
Don't you think living outside like this is worse than jail for a guy like him? He did all that shit so that he can be the top actor and the most loved one. Now, he's in the bottom of the barrel. He's a lousy adult content creator who will never to able to climb up again. He's being live-streamed as well, so people are probably already beginning to recognize him. Jail will just be a room for him, where he won't even bother to think about his mistakes

Finally finished the drama! I'm really happy with how it ended! Sunny’s ending was satisfying for me ngl. He killed people and sold many people as sex slaves only for him to end up as an adult content creator to pay off his debts. That’s his karma. I do wish the nasty old man had suffered a bit more before dying, but this is also what happens in the manhwa, so oh well.

Both stories are "real". That's why the screen time is evenly split.
Ah, I assumed that since OP said "I wanted to see more of Zhen Xin and Zhang Zhun, not the characters that they play. ", I thought they didn't know Fang and Gao are also the real characters

Woah, I will admit I'm not a fan of this, but I'm shocked to see the rating for this drama considering how insanely popular it was👀

same😭 That old man needs to die, like ASAP 😨 He is disgusting🤢
Nah, I'm not blaming her or anything. I meant that she's the type who's not afraid of adapting darker issues. Some people usually tone down the dark bits a lot when adapting the drama. I think this drama is a little toned down compared to the manhwa tbh. I think she managed to capture the brutality well, while also making it not as brutal as the manhwa.

I found out the this show is from the same scriptwriter as Dead Friend Forever and Petrichor. Also the author of Manner of Death and Spare me your mercy. She never backs down from the darkness in the stories, so it makes sense why this drama really highlights the brutality of the industry.

As long as they land the plane well in the finale, this show is easily going to get a high score from me. I need the finale to be perfect, revenge-wise and romance-wise. I wouldn't mind a long finale time if I have to get that perfection

How does this romanticize SA to you? Idk how much you have watched, but Gao Zhun's rapist gets jailed, and Zhang…
The doctor/therapy scenes are meant to feel uncomfortable, but not because the show is romanticizing anything. That plot is meant to show how unstable their dynamics are, especially since they're a therapist/patient. It's to show how deeply unstable Gao Zhun is at that point and how distorted his sense of intimacy is early on. It delves into the doctor's internal thoughts where he struggles from choosing between his own attraction vs his patient's mental well-being vs therapy. Eventually, the doctor does realize what he's doing is wrong and tries to back off. There's a lot of complexities/darkness/toxicity in their story, which is kinds hard to explain without watching the whole thing. I will say that none of this gets portrayed in a positive/romanticize light and a lot of things happen before they're even at a point of being somewhat happy. However, if this makes you uncomfortable, it’s totally valid to step away from the show. We all have things we don't like🙂

are yall not weirded out by this? it literally romanticizes sa genuinely wondering how this is so popular
How does this romanticize SA to you? Idk how much you have watched, but Gao Zhun's rapist gets jailed, and Zhang Zhun finds out the truth about the photos. We will be seeing the consequences next episode. The doctor feels incredibly guilty and cuts himself off, and we see Gao Zhun's trauma after all the things that happened to him. We see him literally wanting to kill his abuser. I don't see any part where this story romanticizes SA.

As for the reasons, why this drama is so popular, there's many reasons why people like this. For me: 1. The psychological aspect of seeing two actors getting so deep into their role that they can't differentiate between fiction and reality, which is kind of a a unique plot. 2. None of the characters are your classic green flags. All of them are problematic and they all have their issues. 3. The multiple storylines occurring in this drama.

Honestly, this episode was really good for me. Don’t get me wrong. It’s really dark and traumatizing, but that’s to be expected. This is a revenge based drama first and foremost. The bad people are real scumbags, so Idk why people are so surprised in the comments section. We had hints of what the main villain was like since the earlier eps. Anyways, I’m excited to see these assholes get what they deserve!! I’m not ready for this drama to end😭 Hopefully, the last ep is like 2 hours long🤞

Me too, I’m confused by these comments. So far, the drama is doing full justice to the manhwa…

Seriously why does the ML have a freakin tramp stamp? They could have placed that tattoo somewhere else.
In the manhwa, he didn't know what it meant. All he saw was that it looked cool, so he got it.
