One of the highlights for me were the FL and SFL. I’ve seen them in support/guest roles in other dramas and have been waiting forever to see them as main leads and they didn’t disappoint.

I just got around to watching it, and it definitely seems like part of the donghua’s story, as the latest ep refers to what happened in the movie eg XiYue forced marriage and at the end YeFan jet off with the coffin thingy found in the movie to try to return to earth.

The editor was so annoying I wanted her to get her comeuppance so I didn’t see that coming lol.

I meant he got to act out his fantasy as ML in the drama within drama 😭

I agree too. FL’s portrayal is refreshing devoid of the usual tics and artificialities many actresses utilise to embody ‘main character’
