Basic Information: Definitely would recommend this drama to anyone who’s a fan of lakorns. It isn’t exactly a full on slap push kiss kind but has mild violence and force used in it so if you’re sensitive to that than don’t watch. I personally think the actors did a great job and portrayed their roles as they should have.
A very detailed spoiler summary of how the show starts: Like almost all t.v shows there are many different problems going on from other characters so I’ll just give the general concepts of them

Sila-(P’tor) was abused, disregarded, and hated by his stepmother during his childhood because he is the son of a mistress which leads him to become cold but I wouldn’t say heartless. During a childhood incident his stepmother kind of insinuates him to fall in a lake and drown. The thing is that he didn’t drown and his birth mom’s friend actually saves him and raises him to become a rich and successful club owner. Later once he is at the peak of his success he starts a mission to get revenge on his stepmother and stepbrother in many different ways which interfere with other main characters’ lives. (BTW if you’re wondering he’s in the Thai boy band 9by9)

Mintra-(Min) She’s portrayed as a very selfless and mostly strong willed character. She is the neighbor of Sila’s stepmother and was his best friend until she heard he had “died”. Like Sila she had a hard time with her stepmother and stepsister. She was never regarded equal to her stepsister in her mother’s eyes but is shown as her father’s favorite. When Min and Sila meet she instantly feels familiar with him and recognizes his ring/chain that Sila had gotten from his birth mom but Sila pretends to not recognize her because of his revenge mission.

Mam- She’s a headstrong, powerful, and caring woman who basically mothered Sila (She’s personally my favorite character). She also doesn’t like Sila getting involved in his revenge plan because she knows his history with them and wants him to be safe. She clashes with Sila’s stepmother a lot and has personal issues of her own with close relative of Sila’s stepmother. Mam is actually in an illicit relationship with the husband of that relative which creates its own problems for her.

Kwan- Min’s very overachieving and entitled sister. Kwan has a “good” relationship with her sister but later it turns to hate for she gets jealous of Sila and Min. I would call her the typical second female lead antagonist with some twists because her story is a little more complex than the stereotyped second female lead. Kwan is brought into the story because Sila’s stepmother pushes her son to make Kwan his wife but Kwan is the “no ordinary girl” because she strives for someone hard to get that can really entice her. That’s when Sila comes in to pursue Kwan so that he can anger his past family. Of course Kwan eventually falls for Sila and you can figure the complications that arise.

Sitha-Sila’s stubborn manipulative stepmother. She’s a really tough character but is the stingy “May I talk to the manager” type. She just doesn’t let anything go and flaunts her power everywhere. After her husband died she does does everything in her power to ruin Sila’s life even when he’s an adult despite not knowing who he is (Sila hides his identity from his stepfamily for the sake of revenge). She only strives for the best and hates anyone related to clubs or involved in prostitution because of her personal experiences. She just makes a lot of enemies and is really two-faced.

Sawit-(Ae) Oh boy this guy needs some milk. He just doesn’t know how to control himself. Ae is Sila’s stepbrother and also hurt Sila in his childhood. He’s quite stuck up and always attempts to please his mother but ends up failing all the time. He’s just portrayed as the “ douchebag” perverted snob who only wants girls and money. He is mainly brought in the plot to court Kwan but just ends up in debt. His character really has no true aspects to it so he’s only there as a stereotype and side antagonist to the main one.

Finally I’ll end it with some additional comments that would help you but if you don’t care then ok

Sila is pretty good looking
All of the characters that belong to the club side of the plot are actually quite smart and use their common sense unlike a lot of other Asian drama characters
Min is only enduring the injustice against her because she wants the best for her father
Min and her family belong to aristocracy but her family slowly lost their reputation because of her fathers condition
There are some intense scenes and one intimate one so if you’re not here for that then let that be my warning to you ????
There is mild abuse
The very beginning starts kind of unusual (to me personally)
Sila an Min are not the focal point of the story in the beginning but their relationship does get more attention towards the middle

Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk
