Agree. Very strong drama. Loved your BossNoeul detour. Frankly though, yes BossNoeul or (letβs not forget) BoatOat…
Yes, BossNoeul set the bar for NC scenes back in 2022, BoatOat raised it higher in 2025 and now ToptapMin launched that bar into orbit! Although BossNoeul still number one in the deflowering department! That scene still lives in my head rent free! Thanks for stopping by!
nah, this is better than My Stubborn, even if ppl dont see it yet.Thank you for your extended explanation, it…
To me both series are special on their own, but this one show off Oat's acting skills in spades! Also, I like the Omegaverse stories a lot, because it's unique and don't shy away from some very controversial scenarios! Thanks for stopping by!
So, 4 episodes in and reading the comments I would like to point out a few things if I may!
I think many netizens are not really understanding the Omegaverse and/or don't fully comprehend the situation that Phatsa and Nakhun are in!
This is not a typical love story and the normal dynamics between lovers are doesn't apply here! Phatsa's whole life is ripped from him with a single bite including his freedom and free will! He was forced into this bond by a primal force that makes him to submit the most intimate, most vulnerable side of himself to a complete stranger or literally die! The only path left for him is to adjust to this impossible, hopeless situation without losing his identity, his sanity and the will to go on! His only luck was that Nakhun took responsibility and he actually cares for Phatsa!
Their awkward interactions makes perfect sense! They are not in love and the bond was a non-consensual incident that none of them wanted nor is it something that can be undone or resolved in a way that would give back their previous lives!
People complaining that they don't have the vibe that they had in 'My Stubborn' which is kind of silly, because that was a totally different dynamic! In that series they knew each other for years and P'Sorn had feelings for Jun from the start! Also Jun was attracted to P'Sorn and fell in love him! So, their intimate scenes were completely different, because it was built on trust and true feelings! On the other hand, Phatsa and Nakhun had s*x because of a supernatural bond that forced them together! Two complete strangers with zero romantic feelings and any control over the power that drove them together! So, of course their intimate scene should look and feel completely different! Shame, guilt and helplessness on both sides while doing the most intimate thing that a human being could ever do!
We just got to the point where feelings start to emerge, but even that is a scary and confusing thing to Phatsa, because he is not sure that his feelings are genuine or just a byproduct of their bond! Nakhun's feelings for Phatsa maybe developed a bit earlier, but being a true Alpha his protective instinct could've brought tender feelings by default much earlier! I expect that this will change things in the bedroom from having s*x because it is brought on by heat to making love with all the passion that we've seen in 'My Stubborn'!
Some netizens also mentioned that they don't see the plot or think that the story is a bit disjointed. Actually we have many different storyline going on at the same time:
1. Phatsa and Nakhun's love story as bonded soulmates 2. People including Nakhun's father searching for a pure Omega 3. The constant threath to the family by powerful enemies 4. The romance between Ongsa and Nakhin 5. The story behind Naphit's issues
This might be the reason why it seems a bit choppy, but hopefully it will come together in the remaining episodes! Of course this is only IMHO as always!
For someone who watches alot of crime/police/mystery series how were you not able to see or deduce from the tags,…
Since it's a Thai production I didn't pay close attention to the label, because I don't watch lakorn and a huge majority of their productions are BL not bromance, so that was my oversight but my observations are still valid, no matter if it's a BL or a bromance! Thanks for stopping by!
Actually, Mr. Kill is a bromance, not a BL. Like the Sky Nani shows Highschool Frenemy and Wu. Of course they're…
Thank you for the correction, somehow I missed the label and I made some corrections! Now I'm even more aggrieved about the sloppy writing! Hopefully, at least we'll get a decent plot and a satisfying ending!
Hm.... I'm a huge crime thriller fan and I've seen so many cop series, movies and I've read countless crime novels and real crime stories/memoirs written by retired cops.
So, understandably, I can get really irritated by blatant disregard for police procedure and this series is no exception! I know that this is a BL/bromance not NCIS, nor an Agatha Christie novel adaptation, but for everything that's unholy, if you are doing a gory, serial killer based series, can the writer(s) at least try to imitate/copy/ plagiarize the basics of real police work? You know, just highlight, copy, cut and paste and voila, we've got some decent script that just might make this BL/bromance truly exceptional!
I've had a similar issue with 'Goddess Bless You From Death' and 'Dare You To Death' and I'm sorry to see that this is becoming a trend, because the plot itself was very promising for all three series!
I know, I'm whining about stuff that didn't phase many BL/bromance fans who are mainly here for boy and boy romance and can't care less about authenticity. Nevertheless, both the story and the acting is pretty good in this BL/bromance and maybe that's the reason that I got all worked up about this!
I'm also aware that I won't be winning any brownie points from those who like this series regardless of the aforementioned problems with it, but I'll take one for the team! As I see it, if we keep lowering our expectations and standards the industry wouldn't make any effort to treat us with better projects! I can point to all the Chinese BLs/bromances that came out to make my case! They raised the bar so high, that every other country has to step up their game if they want to compete! I'll bet you, that when they'll come out with a crime based BL/bromance, it will be detail oriented, meticulous and could pass for a regular, high quality cop show!
I want to make it clear, that I'm not trying to drag down this show and I actually interested both about the story and the bromance between the leads! The acting is pretty good and their chemistry is the kind of slow burn that will definitely get more intense with the progression of the story.
In conclusion, I'll keep watching this series and I will try to overlook the obvious shortcomings as far as the police work goes and hopefully I'll be rewarded with an otherwise great BL in the end! Of course this is only IMHO as always and I'll see you after the next episode!
*Dragging a chair to the front row and plops her butt down Another black flag is coming to ruin my sanity! YAY! This is going to be so deliciously toxic and I've heard that the seme could pass for Fan Xiao's cousin in the unhinged, deranged maniac category! Awesome! I can hardly wait! Who's got my popcorn?
Right, ladies and gents and everyone else in between, let's talk about that NC scene... JUST KIDDING!
Don't get me wrong, of course it was hotter than the surface of the Sun (I'm talking about the celestial object here you pervs!), but without that raw emotional build up, it would've been just a well executed soft p*rn scene (Not judging here, I have rewatched the last 10 minutes too!) and not something so profound, so meaningful that you caught yourself tearing up in the middle of it!
Episode 8 was an absolute tour de force!
This series managed to exceed my expectations in every level so far and the only thing that I'm lamenting is that we have 2 episodes left!
When it comes to BL, I'm always a big softie for the bad boy and a sucker for a well written redemption arc! In all fairness, Sun did horrible things to make enough money for his mother's treatment and to support his little brother and we all like to think that we could never do such things no matter how desperate the situation is! In real life, we would all say that he deserves to suffer for all that he's done, but here in lala land, thanks to the brilliant acting and the great adaptation of the manhwa, after watching him suffer first hand, we want to forgive him and want his suffering to end!
Min totally owns this character! Every glance, every gesture is meaningful and clearly conveys Sun' feelings and struggle! There's so much depth in Min's portrayal of a person who's whole existence is hangs on the next breath he takes.
And there's Shogun, playing a traumatized victim to perfection, keeping every aspect of the character in balance! Toptap masterfully keeps the tension simmering under the surface at all times, making us hold our breath in anticipation whenever Jay and Sun interact! Boss has a small but impactful role and the chemistry between him and Shogun is palpable!
I'm a die hard fan of BossNoeul, but if I am being honest, I would love to see Boss and Shogun go for it (Sorry Noeul, but your man is just so hot, that he could be paired up with a potato sack and it would still ooze chemistry!) just this once! Boss is just too good of an actor and if we all pretend that Noeul, as a seasoned professional would let us "borrow" his partner for a quickie and promptly return him that would be very delicious treat for us! Yup, I've said it and if any fellow BossNoeul fans are getting offended, so be it! Yes, they are my absolute bias, but first and foremost I'm a BL fan and I think the overly rigid pairing can hinder the growth and development of both the actors and the genre!
Sorry for the brief detour, but I just had to say it!
Back to our topic, of course the final 10 minutes of episode 8 has to be addressed! In the last 2 years, BL NC scenes are becoming even bolder and it kind of splits the netizens to two camps. One side thinks that it's too much and it might overshadow or cheapen the storyline. The other side is in favor of displaying mature intimacy, especially if the characters are adults, because that's more realistic. I can only speak for myself, and as I see it, s*x is a natural and essential part of human life and if the actor of legal age accepts the role and have no issue with filming NC scenes, I'm all for it! If the actor is not yet 18, any and all intimate scenes should strictly require written parental/legal guardian agreement and adult supervision!
This particular NC scene was definitely not for those who prefer to leave more for the imagination! It was raw, passionate and a no holding back type of horizontal mambo that gets you in the mood for some private dancing as well! As I've said it in the beginning, I did rewatch it more than once, but it wasn't just for the physical part of the act, but also for the emotional impact! From the moment Sun ran into Jay's arms in the rain and asked him "Please, can you make me cry?", my eyes welled up with tears and I kept wiping them away throughout the entire scene!
Once again, I'm so bummed about how fast this series approaching to the end and I wish that there would be more than 2 episodes left! I haven't read the manhwa yet, but I really hope that there is a possibility for a second season! This is of course only IMHO as always, and I'll be back with my final thoughts after the final episode!
"And of course, not even 15 seconds into their kiss, they're already laughing so hard, they're shaking as…
TOL is definitely the benchmark if you are in it for laughs! Although, 'Sin and Love' slowly creeping up on the totem pole with each episode! BTW, I hope SAL gets season 2 as well! SEEKMEDIA is the gift from the BL gods that keeps giving!
"And of course, not even 15 seconds into their kiss, they're already laughing so hard, they're shaking as…
I was wonder the same thing! The only question is how can they make any money on this? There's no merch, no fan service events, no promo of any kind! Whoever the producer(s) is/are, must be swimming in money and spending on a spoof is must be like paying for lunch for them!
Oh for the love of everything unholy, what the bloody hell did they do to this series!? They left us with so many unanswered questions in the last episode, showing a surprise "ending" that turns out to be a cliffhanger then slap a "to be continued" sign on it! That was really uncalled for!
Although BossNoeul still number one in the deflowering department! That scene still lives in my head rent free! Thanks for stopping by!
