Ikr! He’s good-looking and his character is nice so far. I don't get why people hate him. Even if you think he's boring, that's no reason to hate him.

He needs some insane character growth. He better make up for it before the FL falls for him, or it’ll feel like he’s being rewarded for his behavior.

That's what I currently hate. Hope he changes and hope she doesn't just give in.

A few thoughts while watching episodes 27–28

– Their acting is simply top-notch. Their eyes really say it all!!

– That slap was sooo satisfying and exactly what was needed. Just those few words gave me goosebumps

- I hate how Jin Qi treats the whole thing as a game… “Just win the girl over, and then I’ll be forgiven.” He doesn’t seem to truly know what he did wrong. I hope Lan Xiang makes him regret it and rethink his decisions—I’m looking forward to (hopefully) seeing that

- The silent treatment from Lan Xiang is the best. Don’t stop, girl! Make him suffer!

- I love the younger generation. It’s so sweet to watch them not hate each other.

- It made me feel somewhat sad to see the maids calling Lan Xiang “First Madam” and going about their duties. It felt so distant that I found myself shedding a few tears. But I’m glad they’re back together!

- Looks like I can't bring myself to enjoy any “sweet” scenes between the two of them at the moment, since I don't think he deserves her affection. It makes me uncomfortable just watching him try to get closer to her. Hope that changes tho.

- It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of the third sister’s life. I was hoping to watch them fall in love or at least become friends.

- Xiuwan has turned out to be such a sweetheart. Hopefully she’ll find her soulmate.

Thanks, I'm glad there are still people who don't portray this whole thing as a happy occasion/ the right thing to do. I feel like a lot of people here are romanticizing the whole thing. He knows what he did wrong, and he doesn't regret it… that's what I hate the most. I hope he'll regret it later… I really do.

You don't necessarily have to like FL and Scholar Han as a ship, but honestly, there's no reason to hate on him. He hasn't done anything wrong. Making fun of his suffering is pretty sad, even if it's just fiction. And above all, it's disgusting to criticize his appearance. That's a real person, you know.

I really hate how people are defending ML. I despise what he did here, and it’s only right to say his actions were wrong. I hope FL can make ML deeply regret what he did; otherwise, I can’t root for the two of them.
I somewhat don't want FL to fall in love with him through this marriage, because that would only confirm ML's behavior. ML's actions should definitely be addressed and he should be held accountable.

For now at least. Hope it stays that way. 🫠
