Very good. I’ve posted a review for 30-31 but it has spoilers. Excellent acting. Kinda anxious about 2nd qi bro. Friend or foe, we just don’t know. It’s apparent he loves his youngest bro even though they don’t share the same mom nor status. But will he fall for QL’s temptations?

However, he’s head over heels for the fl. He started noticing her from the first case. He allowed her to stay at the Yamen, protected her from be snatched away, fired the corrupt woman who endangered her, admired all her abilities in the cases.

He’s totally into her but given his position and nature , he doesn’t charge forth

Now that that’s settled, we can focusall our attention into the plot

Yes! I don’t think this drama is going to make it big because it’s not marketed to make female hearts swoon nor cheer for feminism. It doesn’t have big name actors drawing in fandoms.

Yes, if it’s irritating you, then take a break. I had to take a break from GODF because FL was irritating me. Funny how the two characters are kinda similar but I find this drama does a better job presenting him to mewith a good heart even if he’s immature.

I’m on ep 31 and still am enjoying it. I am enjoying how the story unfolds. The romance is not my main interest. How she (ML and 2ML) gets out of QL’s web and what’s 2nd Qi bro’s involvement is keeping me glued.

I also appreciate the very good acting!

Ep 31 - everyone’s thinking the Fl is dumb for choosing to submit to QY but she is a person with low status and little influence in the grand scheme of things. What’s the situation?

QY is a cunning, evil person and we (the audience) self is scheming. She knows he wants her.
She’s seeing all the efforts HMZ made leading to a dead end.
She sees QML struggling with his father and probably does not want him to add another burden on his shoulder.
She sees the effects of the locusts and subsequent grain shortage on the commoners.

At this point, she doesn’t see too many options and cares too much for the starving ppl. She suspects Liu holding back relief grain and QY monopolizing on grain prices is not a coincidence but what can she do?

I am not sure it’s her plan. Seems more like it’s his plan and she desperate.

Ah…. I’ve been putting off the ending of the blossoming love because this has become so engaging. I will check tomorrow to see if they dropped another episode anyways.

So many questions….. ahhh…. And what will out 2nd Qi brother do? Burn the grains from Liu per QY’s plan?

Seriously I don’t think so.

All throughout, we can see that she is not a person who is short sighted, selfish nor greedy. At this point, who she loves is not her driving force. Her willingness to muster the courage to submit to Qin Lin is because of her love for the starving ppl not her own personal relationships. Considering how many times she recoiled from QL, this act reveals the extent of her selflessness.

I love the story because of its realistic portrayal

She clearly scolded QMI to strengthen him. Even he knew that and started focusing on strengthening himself.

Also, why would she scold HMZ? He did everything in his power to no avail. He also did not disclose what QIn Li requested him to convey to LS because he does not want her to be burdened.

All our heroes are trying their best. They are unaware of all QL’s dealings although LS has some suspicions

I can believe it if he finds her later when he’s established, tries to redeem her but when she refused, decides to take over Mingke in an attempt to control her.
