probably because in japan heās already considered rehabilitated. the japanese entertainment culture has a very specific logic: when an artist makes a mistake, steps away publicly, issues formal apologies, and goes through a period of āpurgatory,ā theyāre usually accepted back. itās almost a ritual. ito kentaro followed exactly that path, and the industry reintegrated him. so for the production, there was probably no risk at all. the shock is mostly for audiences outside japan, where this kind of rehabilitation culture doesnāt work the same way.
ito kentaro was arrested in 2020 on suspicion of fleeing the scene after a traffic accident. he reportedly hit a motorcycle at an intersection in shibuya, seriously injuring two passengers, and then left the scene. because of the incident, he was dropped from all advertising contracts and film and drama projects.
Last week I commented that no one seemed to notice the distance between them, but in this episode the interviewer…
I also found it interesting when Yuma was walking with his boss and said that, from now on, he wants to try not to forgive people so quickly. I'm not sure if he was referring to his breakup or if he simply intends to be less quick to forgive in the future.
Last week I commented that no one seemed to notice the distance between them, but in this episode the interviewer picked up on it, and so did the cameraman. There's this strange feeling of watching a documentary and realizing the couple no longer seems as close, to the point where you start wondering if it was a conscious directorial choice.
I also think my theory about Yuma might be wrong. The fact that they broke up and are still living together makes the situation more complicated and slightly changes how I interpret everything.
On top of that, Itsuki is much harder to read than Yuma. During the interview, for instance, I thought he was a bit rude. Even if Yuma lied, cutting the conversation off like that felt unnecessary.
I'm still trying to understand why he said what he said to the gacha toy I don't know if it was just a metaphor or a bitter observation about how certain relationships work.
What stands out to me the most is the sense of reality in all of this. It doesn't feel like just another drama. I wouldn't even classify it as BL; to me, it feels like a portrait of a situation many people go through. I'm really looking forward to the next episode, because it seems like tensions are running higher and higher.
no first episode, one thing i noticed right away about itsuki was that he really didnāt seem to be enjoying being there with yuma. i know japanese culture pretty well, and eating together at the table is also kind of an intimate moment for couples, but he looked annoyed⦠or maybe just uninterested? i mean, the title is the boy and i who will break up in 100 days, so i guess it makes sense why š then in the last scene, when the interviewer (i think?) said the bandage was cute and yuma replied āit was the only one leftā i think thatās what he said itsuki kinda gave this smug little smile š and thatās when i was like okayyyy so my first impression wasnāt wrong lol. the guy was literally mentally checked out while yuma was talking, and he kept glancing off to the side too. i was honestly wondering how the interviewer wasnāt suspicious š and whenever it was his turn to talk, he barely said anything. iām not saying he has to talk a lot, especially because he gives me introvert vibes and i totally get that because iām the same way, but omg this was an actual disaster š like he definitely mustāve done something to make things this awkward.
maybe iām reading too much into it, but it genuinely felt like he didnāt even want to be near yuma. damn⦠i think japan might finally be giving us something new š i seriously canāt wait for the next episode. i wanna know not just about the breakup, but the actual reason behind it.
also i almost forgot the question one of the guys asked: āwhat do you like about him?ā and itsuki answered āhis faceā š but it lowkey sounded like he was trying to come up with something to say on the spot and looked super uncomfortable. it really feels like theyāve already been broken up for a while, so getting asked that probably caught him off guard. meanwhile yuma answered āhis smileā and it sounded way more natural because that man is literally carrying the entire fake relationship on his back š
Four couples for a series of six episodes, I feel that the development will be terrible. It would have been better…
Iāve felt the same way since they announced only six episodes. With four couples, the pacing is probably gonna be super rushed, and theyāll end up focusing on just the main couple while the others get barely anything. Honestly, a 1h30 or 2h movie wouldāve made way more sense than a super short mini-series. I really hope itās not like that though⦠the 25-minute runtime already has me nervous
Right on the first page of the manga, I was already hit with two of them getting it on š¤£š¤ There are a lot of spicy scenes, so I donāt think this will ever get adapted for TV.
im not sure if I saw it right in the trailer, but it looks like weāre getting romance between Shoma and Takuma???š¤ This man has chemistry with literally everyone, so if itās true, we already know theyāre gonna serve
bro i really hope Ben aināt gonna be a crybaby here, ācause in that step by step I legit almost wanted to shake him. But from the trailer, his acting looks way better now, and that age gap? Lowkey jealous š. Im seated
I think Anata wo Korosu Tabi is gonna serve big time since itās the first Japanese yakuza BL. Itās about time we got a more mature BL this year. Im SEATED
Same director as Cosmetic Playlover and Shugakuryoko de Nakayokunai Group ni Hairimashita, and now he's giving us Punk Triangle too š¤ And Cosmetic Playlover season 2 is coming?? This man is 100% a fudanshi, no doubt š
i desperately wish i could rent a little space inside Hajime and Akafujiās heads, because OH MY GOD, what was that scene of them rolling around on the floor? 𤣠Seriously, if youāve had a horrible day, watch this jbl itās the ultimate cure for sadness.
And another thing: I literally cannot take anything they do seriously š That scene on set was just a full blown collective meltdown. I couldnāt stop laughing.
Akafujiās great grandma showing up again? I was crying from laughter 𤣠And someone pls tell Akafuji he has a MAJOR fainting problem, because itās becoming a regular thing now.
Now the second couple⦠Iām begging for more scenes with them! I donāt want this āletās save everything for the final episodeā thing, only to be left with some open-ended finale š They barely showed up together this episode, and yes, Iām emotionally needy.
And honestly? Akafuji and Haibara 100% share the same chaotic brain cell š¤£
