So Hsin-chiao removed a protective talisman in 2012, therefore releasing the curse, but who put the talisman there in the first place, and were people being killed by the ghost before the talisman was placed on the bridge? I would have loved to get more backstory there. I also find it kind of crazy that these events all happened at a university, but they were never widely reported on, or if they were reported on, details were omitted. Why would the school cover up the deaths, just to make sure it didn't scare prospective students from attending the school? How would incoming students only know about the urban myth and not the real life deaths that happened only four years ago? How did no one at the school recognize Hsin-chiao or say anything about how she had apparently disappeared after the events of 2012? How was she able to hide from professors, etc. while also becoming a member of the student council? Or was the line about her disappearance not really accurate? If so, people would have to have known she survived the events in 2012, right?

The first hour felt like a lot of disconnected and cliché jump scares without a story. When it gets to the actual storyline towards the end, you can think back and realize some of the small details and clues the movie had throughout, but I still wish there was more of a storyline happening in that first hour in order to make the reveal at the end more impactful. There were a lot of details that feel like a stretch, and ones I'm still confused about, too. I'll put them in a spoiler below.
