I finally understand what has been bothering me with this drama. Despite enjoying it, there’s something missing. I realized that the love story isn’t very epic. I’m not sure if it’s because of the 40 episode rule so there’s no time to truly flesh out each character and relationship or the acting in itself. I love both leads but somehow they seem more like siblings or at most close friends. It doesn’t feel like they have that deep enduring love. For example the scene where Ajin jumps in after Ayin in the nether world, there’s no sense of desperation or profound loss like you would have for someone you love. The exact scene was in 10miles of peach blossoms when Ye Hua jumped after SuSu. His desperation can be seen on his face and the absolute devastation on his face at the loss of his wife was completely heart wrenching. Then the aftermath of that scene when he just cries and cries. That is how it’s done . All the “emotional” scene in this drama doesn’t feel very memorable….

I just want Feng Yin to come back and raze the heavenly palace to the ground along with those stupid immortals!

I mean he did kill her. The last memory she had of him was him striking her with his sword. No hurtful words to him can compare to that…. And that’s not counting the fact that he destroyed his love bond.

So she’s suppose to just listen and trust him despite the fact that he has made it clear that there is no relationship between them? A Yin is a very loyal person. You can’t expect her to sit around while her bff is being tortured. I’m sorry you can’t blame a woman when it is the man that refuses to communicate all in the name of “protection”. That is chauvinistic. Thinking that only he can fix things and treating the woman like she’s an idiot.
