I finally understand what has been bothering me with this drama. Despite enjoying it, thereās something missing. I realized that the love story isnāt very epic. Iām not sure if itās because of the 40 episode rule so thereās no time to truly flesh out each character and relationship or the acting in itself. I love both leads but somehow they seem more like siblings or at most close friends. It doesnāt feel like they have that deep enduring love. For example the scene where Ajin jumps in after Ayin in the nether world, thereās no sense of desperation or profound loss like you would have for someone you love. The exact scene was in 10miles of peach blossoms when Ye Hua jumped after SuSu. His desperation can be seen on his face and the absolute devastation on his face at the loss of his wife was completely heart wrenching. Then the aftermath of that scene when he just cries and cries. That is how itās done . All the āemotionalā scene in this drama doesnāt feel very memorableā¦.
