Before you start, let me make it clear to you . The ML is very complex. He is cunning, aggressive, and sometimes psychotic due to some massive trauma. With that being said he’s also a feminist. He’s a scholar that believes that woman should also be educated like men. The FL is no damsel in distress. She is just as cunning and complex. Neither of them gives off the green flag especially the ML.

It’s sad that all they got out of the drama was toxicity. What I saw was two broken people finding their way to each other despite their individual insecurities.

I stopped watching Thai dramas too. Mainly because too much toxicity that even I can’t handle. And lots of screeching women.

The rape scene is more insinuated. Not completely shown.

They are lucky they changed Xie Wei a little bit. He’s far darker in the novel. There’s only two things he cares about. Revenge and JXN. He could care less about anyone else.

She’s not passed out drunk. She’s asleep. Which means she WILL wake up if it goes further. But I can see your point because they haven’t slept together yet.

Why watch the drama then and bash those of us that enjoyed it? There’s no need for that. People watch dramas because it is different from their own lives. The majority of people that enjoy this drama is because the complexity of each character and storyline.

You’re lucky they mellowed him out a bit. If the XW drama is the same as the novel drama, I don’t think it will go well with the audience.

You forget that she’s already gone through one life in which one she was married. It isn’t like she’s a shy virgin.

Yes but that’s why it’s so interesting. It’s about two broken people finding their way to each other. Despite Xie Wei’s craziness, JXN was able to see the man beneath. She understood why he is the way he is.

If she wants a boring passionless life that is constantly under scrutiny because ZZ is as square and straight lace as they come. Frankly I would rather have someone who desires and want me as much as I want him and is not ashamed about it….

It’s a slow burn. The attraction is there but it is tempered by 1)teacher/student dynamic 2) FL’s wariness of the ML

I don’t know why people are freaking out. Did they not watch the drama from the beginning? It’s not a rom com.

Also I don’t think she hated him in this life. She’s scared of him yes but hate no. If she hated she wouldn’t have been hugging him or allowing him to do so. I think there was always an attraction with him but his scary ass mood swings overshadows it. But despite that, she constantly finds herself close to him. Like a moth to a flame.

She hasn’t completely accepted him yet. They’ve always been drawn to each other. She understands him like no else does and vice versa. She’s also afraid of him which makes her understanding of him more blurry. Not to mention his mood is like a yo-yo. But one thing about JXN is that she is utterly loyal to those who are good to her. Yan Lin, ZZ, Fan Yin, and the Princess. When XW started to protect her when they were in danger, she opened herself more to him.

But at the end of the day she’s got them wrapped around her little finger…..
