I actually like his character. Most of the novel is probably lost in translation. Despite that I was still able to understand the majority of the storyline. In the beginning she was afraid of him. But after awhile she was afraid of her attachment to him. He’s an intense, scheming, and ruthless person with a thousand agendas. After living the previous life she just wants peace. And Xie Wei is not it. But as she got to know him she realized how very similar they are or at least how she use to be. She just had a chance to redo everything. As for Xie Wei, everyone thinks he’s a peaceful gentle person. The only people who knows differently is the ones that is under his command and Jiang Xue Ning. And only because of her knowledge of her previous life. Xie Wei isn’t a gentle or warm person by nature. He doesn’t know how to love or love properly. Despite that, he does everything to protect her. He also does little things for her. Like making peach cake or sending her longevity noodles for her birthday.

Seriously. First of all, I love cray cray Xie Wei in the novel. Second, this is the first time ZLH will be playing such an anti hero. So damned excited for it. Third, the chemistry between the leads is 🔥. The trailers alone gave me goosebumps.

The issue is the FL. The ML lead has made it clear that he likes her but the FL is being so stupid. I am trying to get through this drama but man it’s hard. If not for Bin Bin I would’ve dropped this drama.

I’m annoyed at the FL lead too. She doesn’t judge the ML by his action. Instead by stupid rumors. He constantly takes care of her. She’s freaking immature and petty.

@BubbleNSqueak I agree the timing is off during said CP marketing. The story broke awhile ago. There’s a picture taken of them during the last day of filming of ZLH wiping cake off of BL’s face or lips. That’s a pretty intimate gesture. A whether it’s heavily edited or not there’s other clips that shows familiarity and closeness.

First and foremost I am not against him standing up for his beliefs. Especially about human rights. I applaud him for it. However he knows that as a public figure, it’s dangerous for him to express his feelings publicly in a country that gives two shits about free speech. There are ways to support a cause without putting it on a public platform. Is it fair for the rest of the team to also get punished? That is, if this “technical issue” is attributed to that.

This is so depressing. I would’ve just rather them not show any trailers and previews. All this hype only to let us down freaking sucks. If it’s really because of the 3rd ML then they should’ve just fined him instead of punishing the rest of the cast and crew.

Aaah ok. I’m hoping it’s really “technical issues “ and not because of anything else. Otherwise it will be pushed back indefinitely.
