Actually having a ‘bad boy’ go through a redemption growth does mean he’s multidimensional. It means that person is willing to change and grow. It also means that there’s many facets to his personality and therefore dimensions.

I think it’s because too good of a character has very little depth or layers to them. They are one dimensional. It’s hard to have character growth when you’re practically perfect. Unlike our lovable demon who went through quite the redemption arc.

I just want to say that Jing is XY ‘s life mate. However, XL is her soulmate. While she loves Jing and he heals her heart but no one truly understands her the way XL does. Jing is very singular. All he wants is to be with her and love her. And yes he would die with her and for her. But XL’s love has more depth and it’s all encompassing. While Jing seeks to protect the one he loves, XL seeks to ensure that the one he loves will never need another’s protection. He gives her all the things she never knew she needed….including her life mate.

I just want XY to fully understand the love that XL has for her. I’m ok with his tragic ending.

In the drama too. Their mothers were sisters.

If only she knew the significance of the poisonous bug. That it required love from the person that you want it to transfer to for it to actually work… that could’ve made all the difference and she probably wouldn’t have made that promise to Jing.

Sorry I meant that in a symbolic way. She didn’t want his breath because it would be like kissing and to do so will make her start dreaming of what they could be to each other. And that is what she’s afraid of.

I bawled my eyes out during the epilogue. He made her a wedding gift but she never knew it was from him.

I think XL is XY’s soulmate. Despite that, he’s not for her. She has abandonment issues. Because of that she’ll choose the safe one. XY’s relationship with TSJ is soothing, healing, and comforting. While her relationship with XL is chaotic, exciting, and fiery. It’s the kind that makes her heart race and tremble and that’s a scary feeling for her. When they sat on the beach and he asked her why she wouldn’t take his “breath” underwater. It’s because she didn’t want to let him into her heart. He’s not exactly the type of guy that a woman should be dreaming about.

I find this list more plausible since they like to release dramas that have one of the leads back to back to capitalize on the popularity of the actor/actress.

I love Xu Kai but good lord his last 3 dramas is just meh… I watched this one FF the entire time.

At some point I’m going to have to give up this drama of ever seeing the light of day…..
