A Requiem for Tonkla ~ The Forgotten, The Fearless, The Fabulous Ghost-in-the-Making

We lay to rest Tonkla, the most unprotected soldier in this vampire melodrama. The man who walked into danger dressed as the human embodiment of his hotdog suit and his zero survival instincts to match. A man who faced danger not with fear but with the confused loyal optimism that made him very stab-able.

He was a beacon of hope, standing strong amidst the whirlwind of friendship sandwiches, English literature and a professor who clearly wants to kill everyone.

He taught us that friendship sometimes means shrugging off concerns about your bestie impersonating you to serve drinks at a party full of bloodthirsty immortals and frantically telling you about it. He reminded us that a well-placed hot dog with ketchup could be a metaphor for resilience, but unfortunately, not a shield.

He spent his short life standing back for Tong - Mr. Golden Blood himself - because heaven forbid anyone prioritize Tonkla’s well-being when there was an emotionally unstable vampire tycoon waiting to use him for his own evil plans.

But did Tonkla complain? Well, a little, but did he demand protection? No. Instead, he turned his back on common sense and the very concept of safety just to save Tong, only to be promptly skewered by the writer.

Alas, dear Tonkla, your fate was sealed by a perfume bottle with more plot relevance than you. One spritz, and suddenly, you weren’t just Mark and Tong's forbidden love's collateral damage, you were the emotional weight of the plot twist, a victim of a prototype's assault that canceled all vampire magic, possibly including Mark’s very questionable healing attempts. Truly, we watched in disbelief as Mark attempted to save your life while neglecting the bloodied steel pipe sticking out of your chest. A medical oversight we can never forgive.

But fear not, noble Tonkla! In this universe, where vampires run amok in uptown Bangkok, there is still hope. Perhaps you shall return, resurrected by the sheer willpower of MyDramaList fans who refuse to let you and your ship with Nakan go. Perhaps your perfume-induced demise was merely a setup for your comeback as 'Tonkla the Immortal,' the real new head of Thara's gang. The ending he deserves, kicking the vampire ass that kicked his, and loving on his hotdog loving vampire boyfriend. Soulmates across series should always find each other.

Not one person thought of him, yet still, he protected Tong. Not one writer remembered he existed until it was too late, yet still, he smiled, for he knew, between his gritted teeth, that he will haunt their dumbasses bitterly.

Oh yes, my friends. He left this world not in anguish, but in victory, knowing full well that his ghost will lurk in every reflective surface Mark passes. That his spectral presence will manifest in every perfume bottle Thara ever touches. That his vengeful spirit will knock over every poorly placed blood goblet in Nakan's 'I'm an evil vampire' office.

Until then, we salute you sweet Tonkla. May the scent of Eau de Gold Sidekick be forever etched in our memories. May your spirit linger in every poorly lit vampire meeting room.

I've always loved the Halloween themed make up palettes and always imagined if I had my own produce line, it would just be a fantasy OTT extravaganza 🤣

yeah, I understand if it's a novel spoiler or something the cast said somewhere but this is just ridiculous. Having said that. I'm an asshole because, I may have laughed at the end LOL I made a joke a few weeks back about doing a short series in the comments every week about Tonkla and his Chronicles of Survival, and then promptly couldn't be bothered my butt.

Question though. I wonder if whatever magic perfume Thara has created, does it protect the wearer from ALL vampire abilities, including Mark's healing? Because that sounds like something a final boss would do. Tonkla didnt feel too good after applying it, even if it did void out Nakan's control, it might have done something else to him. And if Tong is now going to be living with her, in episode 10, that's a build up to a final fight for the Golden Blood because I've never trusted Thara or Nakan LOL

Also, I don't know why Mark was trying to heal Tonkla when there was an iron rod pierced through his chest LOL What was he expecting to heal? 😂

Boat is like a mix of Boss and Pepper from gmmtv LOL Is kind of nice but I much prefer his hair down. Boss has higher cheek bones and a sharper jaw so he can work the pull back look, whereas Boat has much rounder, fuller features, so the ponytail looks a bit harsh on him. He's a still a beautiful man but damn, he is fine when his hair is tousled and free 😘
P.S Is anyone else having fun saying the ship name ~ BoatOat 😚 I am amused

hahaha, I could never get into the hard pounding type of shows because they always happen early. I need to be wined and dined on emotional chaos first 😂

I remember glazing over before eventually dropping Love Sea so I cant remember the details, just a tanned perky butt in the shower 😂 This one seems to have caught my interest more because they are taking the time to set up emotional evolution, so far just with Jun and the side couples and it seems to be snowballing now. Jun is still the focus because he's questioning and learning but I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's version of things. I'm genuinely interested in these characters. It doesnt feel like porn. The sex feels more like Cutie Pie and The Sign style of sex. It's leaning more into sensual erotica rather than just hard pounding. We're building up to that considering Sorn was literally gulping in this episode every time he looked at Jun LOL
