At the beginning his xter was funny and obnoxious, but as they dug deeper into his xter from his past as a child, the mass murder he committed as a kid to get back his book, his constantly wanting validation from his master, then his mummy issue as an adult, fear or abandonment, his love for the FL but lack of trust in her despite FL trusting him to the end, I just think his xter was shallow. Hence I couldn’t really feel sorry for his death.

Whilst I agree with you about WXY acting, Kunning Palace Zhang Lihe (as Xue Dingfei) psychotic xter was a masterpiece. His dual personality was sweet to watch.His kiss scene with Bai Lu (Jiang Ni) in the cave was mad wow. MC known as crazy devils but also sweet lovers… Wu lei in LLTG, Zhang Lihe in SOKP, Wallace Chung in G and I, now Wang Xingye in TD.

Wow!! finally found someone who thinks like me. Yes the story line is different but the nuances are similar. Both leads have little interaction in the beginning but when they appear together, it’s a wow moment. But later they start scheming together and Ml always helping Fl out secretly and openly. Very similar to LLTG. I guess watching it again whilst waiting for episodes on the Double is a good one 👍🏼🤩

JL is the legitimate daughter of her father and so shares the same title and higher position than her daughter JR who is also a legitimate daughter but since JL is older, her position in the household is higher. Hence she hates JL and wants her out of the picture so her daughter and son gets to share all the wealth and glory of the family since her husband is a high official. If JL grew up normal in her family, she would have been more respected and gained more glory hence she schemed to send her out to the shadows so her daughter gets the spotlight.

I believe Duke Su fell in love with XFF when he first saw her as Shen Yurong’s wife. He probably admired her rumoured brilliance at the time. So meeting her again in a situation where she’s set to get revenge on her hubby and those out to kill her, he definitely will help but make it look like she has to seek his help. He is long gone for her but also masking his feelings whilst secretly and openly helping her. The fact that she always uses his name as cover in her family feud and he knows but ignores it, shows he likes her. He knows whenever he appears before her, she’ll definitely use him as a cover 😀😅

It’s just like love like the galaxy. The main leads didn’t have much screen time together in the beginning until much later in the drama, but whenever they appear together to bicker or scheme, it was fun. Its the same here as the ML is gonna be a backbone to the FL, and they will be scheming together, so even tho little screen time together, but it’s always booming when they meet… you know something’s happening when they get together 🤩. I totally love scheming drama, it engages my brain to think about how they came up with the plan and what’s the next line of action….exciting

Her ex-husband and family did recognise her face. But remember they are guilty of supposed death. So in that kind of setting, seeing her alive would scare them more and they cannot expose her either, unless they want to expose themselves too as her killers. Go watch that episode again and notice their reactions, then you’ll understand

Hater! How many of her dramas have you watched? Go watch the story of Yanxi palace… she had a strong, unique and lovable character. She was also very loyal to the Empress who saved her. Even tho she ended up marrying the Emperor, she had to in order to bring to justice and deal with all the concubines who had a hand in the Empress and her son’s death. She a good actress, keep your hate inside your stomach 😏

You haven’t even see the first 5episodes and you already judge the FL xter for stealing an Jiang Li’s identity but not seeking revenge on her behalf? I wonder how people rush into making hasty decisions of dramas that are 40 episode or more long after watching just 1 or 2 episodes. Did you even read the narrative of the drama to understand what the drama is going to be about? Hasty decisions bring about Flawed decision. Don’t be too quick to judge a drama just by the beginning episodes. That’s why it’s a drama, a story…. you have to keep watching to understand it 😏

Wow I guess all the women who loved the king hate YQM, from queen to Li Yunrui. Hence the double hate for Fan Xian now. RMB Wuzhu in S1 told CPP that everyone in the capital took part in her death. You can tell YQM xter must have been Sweet, goofy and a lover of justice. Hence why she had those who loved and respected her as well as those shitty,evil people who hated her too. She was wealthy, intelligent and powerful, not to mentioned been loved by a prince, which must have made the royal family and some others see her as a threat, even the king cos he loved power more.

They are not related. You know in their era, having adopted or sworn sibling is a part of their culture. She must have been adopted to the royal family but developed a crush for the king while he was still a prince. But the prince(king) loved YQM instead. Hence the hate for YQM and her wanting to acquire more power in hopes the king will take a liking to her.

So YQM although fell in love with the Prince that became king, she also must have noticed the politics and greed of the royal family. They forced her to give up her wealth to them, I believe that is why she instructed those closest to her that if she survived the ordeal and threat from the royal family, Fanxian would have grown up as a prince, but if she died, to name him after Fan (Fan Xian). I think it was her way of trying to protect family and keep him away from the royal family madness.

She knew the king and royal family were after her wealth. Rmb she was close to the king, CPP and FJ. its like she was forced to hand over her business to the imperial family and must have noticed the politics behind it, that’s why she told those close to her CPP, FJ and her subordinates to name him Fan Xian if she dies, so he bears the Fan surname to survive. I definitely won’t name my kid after the man and family who killed me if I had a way to protect my kid and that was what she did. The king liked her but loved power more.

Ye linger’s character for me is the most ridiculous. She claims she is Waner’s friend but keeps helping and hanging around the second prince making herself an object of manipulation for him. how she tends to believe and just follows everything he wants is ridiculous especially when she knows very well the hate r/ship btw them. Of she loved the second prince, I would understand her actions, but to claim she doesn’t love/ like him but allows herself be easily manipulated is just stupid.

Yun Rui is secretly in love with the king, but King married Ye instead. Apart from her greed for power and money, taking over Yeqing mei’s business is something she doesn’t want to give up, because she thinks if she becomes powerful, maybe the king will take a liking to her.

He took a document he wrote about the brothel, thinking he could use that to incriminate FX along the bribing case, but FX outfoxed him thanks to the father-in-law support in getting the crown prince supporters to add fuel thus making the Censorate take up the corruption investigation.

Absolutely!! I loved the fact that he didn’t see this pit Fan Xian dug coming at all. He never really understood why Fan Xian took the bribe openly. Until Censorate says I’m willing to investigate corruption amongst officials, then it dawned on him the stunt Fan Xian pulled 😂😂

Fan Xian first day in court was a total troll and pit dug for the 2nd prince that he didn’t see it coming. For once he could not predict FX move or understand why he collected the bribe. But the hard reality of the stunt FX pulled was like a slap to his back head. You could see his death stares at FanXian. Even FX ‘s 3 dads and Father Inlaw were impressed by FX move. One stone killed two birds (Justice for Old Jin d vegetable seller who was killed) ( 2nd prince and hi allies getting in-depth investigation by hardcore Censorate) 👏👏

I find it totally entertaining and looking forward to the battle btw 2nd prince, Crown prince and Fan Xian. Who will be FX next incoming ally and what other villains will show up besides the 2nd prince. Its very intriguing. If you watch court dramas and intrigues a lot, then you’ll know there is trouble in paradise and this at all ain’t boring 👏👏
