As S2 of squid game was done airing ( which he was part of it's cast) he was involved in a scandal where screenshots of him posting and immediately deleting a p*rnograpic image of Squid game posters which ladies in it (nude). So it circulated and he was in a hot soup for it. This was the period where he was already announced as ml for this but later got taken off

The author is either probably powerless and crying like most authors who's work were adapted without them playing active roles in the adaptation. It happens. Most authors (At least of Chinese novels I've seen) tend to say they have few say in what their work gets adapted into for a drama. They just sell the rights of their work. and the Drama takes it "creative" stand and adapt it to fit the movie/drama world. But some authors are pretty lucky to be involved actively in the process. while some actually don't even care as long as they get their money lol

The Problem isn't The Fans. It's The Adoption girl. If they ACTUALLY PUT some work and got better cast and did better for it's adaptation, This show would blow up and WITH MASSIVE RATING AND PRAISE because the audience is that big to bring it to the top and also that big to pull it down.
It's not the first adaption of any Manhwa or novel. and it won't be the last. There has been great adaptation that has gained praise (Weak hero etc) even though some fans were still unhappy ( not everyone can be pleased) but you know YOU'RE IN THE WRONG PATH when you collectively made the whole ass FANDOM Mad. so the fans is not an excuse as to why the show is getting hate. It's their fault for not even trying to make something better with accuracy at least and respect.
The Story is a Popular one. So the day they chose to even adapt it was the day they took the risk lol
