History 4 was easily watchable if one simply didn't focus on the "problematic" couple, yet most continue doing for whatever reason even though all's been said & critizised about them that can be said & critizised. It's so easy to skip their scenes and concentrate on LiCheng & MuRen. Rewatched the show a billion times - yet only their parts.Evoila perfect =) I for one couldn't stand MODC x) the "seme's" acted like they were 8years old and that was not only annoying, but also disturbing for me. Yes they were highschoolers, but those are also not 8y old. BUT in H4 they were perfect so I really hope we get their continued story :)
Those two, Li Cheng & Mu Ren + a good plot and we'll have the best History season of all time <3
As a DIE HARD fan of Li Cheng & Mu Ren I'm SOOOOO sad it wasn't them dropping by saying hello :'( They're literally my alltime favorite couple (BL or no BL). They're just perfect and I miss them and aaaaaarrrghhh :'(

So many shows follow, like I mentioned, this break-up & finding each other in the end again plot, which is old, boring & lacks creativity, esp. when there are so many plot possibilities with "grow as a couple and as individuals".
And the "break-up" you described makes sense and actually I'd hardly call it one, but it fits the plot & the flow and at least in the novel doesn't get dragged out.
Honestly, your comment calmed me down :) bc I really love these two and I'm at a point where I'd rather have no 2nd season at all as to witness a break-up plot yet again, so it'd have been really sad if that happened to Hira & Kiyoi. But witnessing them learing how to grow and better communicate!? I'm here for it :D
Just saying, but: I'm gonna riot if the "season 2" curse will it here. Meaning any kind of this damn old uncreative "break-up" plots they tend to use for 2nd seasons. Especially since we only had like 5 minutes with them AS a couple. Now I'd like to see them do & face things AS a couple!
I kinda like school dramas, though nah not high school, university at least. But they need a special twist, bc yes, ultimately I prefer something more mature! After Manner of Death, Kinnporsche, Not Me 'n stuff, I'm all here for those kind of shows :) IF they have a happy ending ^^ But yes, I can enjoy college shows too :)
