I dropped it after the disappointing episode 3. I watched the remaining 5 episodes and it's good but the main…
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one not paying ANY attention to this fanservice. Or anything about the show except the show itself. Be it CP, 2G or any other show. I find it too cringy and weird. Well and wrong. So I'm never searching for Bts stuff and whenever a random TikTok about it pops up, it also immediately disappears in the vortex again :D
But yes, this fanservice needs to disappear. You're colleagues, you made a series or movie, that's all I need to know and see. And even if someone eventually will be more, than that should be private as well or at least their choice.
Can anyone assist please? Please excuse my ignorance. When Hia and Kuea speak to each other sometimes they say…
I suppose it's a language "barrier". In English you wouldn't tell your partner that you love him by using both their names. I mean you could, but who does. Excepts for a joke or whatnot. Or if you're a toddler ^^ In Thai it seems to be a common thing though. So I'd think the translator wanted to make it sound more "natural" for English speakers!?
Important: Lian is 10 years older than Kuea, if you are not comfortable with that maybe don't watch it.
True. Because they usually generalize. There can be issues and red flags with every relationship. Age gap or not. And some act like an age gap in itself is always already a problem in itself. My own parents are 9 years apart and now married since 1987 - so... 35 years! Apparently it can work just fine :D
Interesting :) But... I don't know what it is... while watching a western show I usually don't care if I've seen an actor in a different role already (except if they've played a role for years like with the actors of Vampire Diaries or Supernatural). But when it comes to Thai actors it sometimes needs getting used to pairings when two actors from different shows get to act together. Like with Mike & Kirst here xD It makes no sense, I know. Maybe it's bc of the insane fanservice Thais offer (though I try to avoid it, it too fake, kind of cringy to me or just seems not right)!? Or maybe bc there aren't THAT many actors for the main roles after all and we see the same faces over & over again (not complaining though).
Does anyone else have this "problem" from time to time? I just know I'll find it weird at first seeing Mike & Krist together and really have to get used to it.
The 1st couple is literally perfect! Especially for a BL drama couple! LiCheng & MuRen have so much chemistry, are communicating with each other and them developing feelings and realising them comes in a good pace. I think they're my fav. couple of all times.
The 2nd couple. Haaa, no. Toxic. Like conceringly toxic, not the normal drama toxic, which pretends to be normal. And no I don't mean the Step-brother issue, that I don't even mind that much tbh, but the younger guy needs therapy asap. For a couple of reasons.
So let's just focus on LiCheng & MuRen <3 ...and hope for Lu & Sun to have 2nd season! Loved them in here :)
Was it problematic? Yes. BUT WAS IT GOOD THOUGH, HELL YEAHHH. And afterwords, both couples are adorable, cute…
Though I felt we have to separate both couples. LiCheng & MuRen are everything but problematic - they are surprisingly healthy! The other two... not so much. And nope, I don't mean the step-brother thing. That I don't even mind, but the younger definitely needs therapy for lots of reasons x)
Kdramas like to do that too. Towards the end -_- so annoying
Right!? I wished they'd come up with anything slightly more original. Especially since no one is too keen of seeing lovers being "pulled apart" all the time.
Excited :D But honestly... BL's and their ever occuring issue with studying abroad, transfers, family issues that all create the "long distance relationship" plot.
In real life, it's 9 yrs. In the series, it's pretty close to that, although they never really say.
And you're still here after you dropped it almost a month ago? Maybe that actually explains quite a lot, seeing as u apparently have nothing better to do after a month.

Well, seems you know the one way to a healthy relationship then. Spread the word. But since it's just a show and you finally got that it's a "ew" 9 year age gap you can just drop and not watch it anymore (no idea why u didn't do that before tbh). Plenty of other good shows to get invested in and not defame couples with an age gap. Thx!

Did you even read my comment? Properly? Otherwise your answer is kinda off. AS I SAID, I was talking only about age gap per se (and in this case 'ew' would be rude!!), since that's where this whole conversation started from. NOT the show!
And also again. Age gap or no age gap, of course none of that IS a garantee that a relationship will work or not. And both can be toxic. If you disagree good luck finding someone as close to your birthday as possible :D hope it works out.

Since age gap was the topic I answered simply regarding age gap, not the on-top "special" circumstances around the mains in this show. So, I stick to what I said. "Ew" is a bit rude regarding age gap in general (though you probably meant it while thinking of the mains situation, I see that now). So, still, 9 years age gap can work easily, since I witness it myself, but sure, it can be/become complicated or toxic as well. Sadly just like a 9 months age gap could.

"Ew"? Come on :D 9 years is quite a bit, but also still perfectly alright. As Gottillc said. Age gaps are nothing too special to begin with. Not sure which cultures he is aiming at, but I'm from Germany and sure some ppl might be like "oh so you're 9 years apart" but not meaning anything bad by it. Just noticing. And on we'll go with our day ^^ e.g. My best friend & her husband are 11y apart and srsly the healthiest couple I know. My own parents are 9y apart and married since 36 years :) In the end, if both genuinely love each other (obviously are of age - guess that doesn't need to be said) and no one's taking advantage... so what. Live and let live. "Age is just a number. As Gender's just a word."
Well yea I agree. Usually in bl or in romance in general there are always some toxic moments if I can call it…
Jup. Also agreed. No idea why they tend to do that. Especially with non-con scenes, no matter which "level". Best example to me will always be TharnType (I mean I liked the actors but basically that was one hell of a toxic show). They brush over issues or ignore them completely and bad guys, not even the real bad ones, EVER get a proper punishment. And the bad guy in TharnType was just ...wow. Prison please. And some justice for his victims. But naaah, who can be bothered with real consequences -.-
...but if it has to, please promise a 2nd season ASAP!
With a proper plot this time though... please xD
