Well both Xiao Han and jiayue are the main leads so his love story is important for the plot and many watchers likes them. We are watching it from jia yue's pov that's why some of us annoyed with chen mo but if we saw it in Xiao Han's pov then it understandable why he likes chen mo .He can share his worries with her and Infront of jiayue and others,he has the image of a perfect boy with no worries.
And this is more focused on their family and friendship,the love stories is just a subplot
