the drama has nothing to do with the novel except their names ,the novel was an abusive plot with only 8/9 chapters where the drama is more like an original script .In the novel ml's brother died when ml was young and ml wasn't swapped after his birth .All the things showed in the trailer and written in the synopsis aren't in the novel .
But i read some spoilers from the leaked script that
the fl's family gets killed by some powerful man and she approached the ml at first because of that .And she left him to save some people ,i dont know whom.And why she had to pretend to be de@d,don't know either .
Years later she came back with a fake identity fang mulan,who was arranged to engage ml's brother .This time she definitely came for any hidden reasons .And she and the ml's brother has no feelings for each other .Ml's brother's love interest is ye zhihong .Also ml was engaged to another girl by his family but there was no feelings .So there shouldn't be any triangle and the marriage not gonna happen .But yeah it kinda has dramatic plot 😅

Don't know as the plot is more like an original script but republican drama rarely gets happy ending 🥲

the novel of legend of the female general was good but sadly the drama adaptation wasn't satisfying .Many international viewer's might like it but in mainland it got many criticism because of them changing many highlighted scenes ,weakening the leads ,including annoying triangle where in novel the sml wasn't delusional or big villain like they made him .I had no expectations as i didn't like the director ,but the final trailer was good which gave me hope but later i dropped it

On perfect match LYR played four girl's father where HYTT played the fifth girl bt they had no scebe6as the father died early .In RMJ they weren't cp ,fl had crush on him and he sees her like a sister and his romantic pairing was with the second fl
so it's only in rebirth ,they are playing main pair

so i hope some people should stop spreading misinformation by saying the ml was like a guest character because of first few episodes ,and also saw a person saying it was supposed to male centric drama .I don't know who told them it was supposed to be a male centric drama lol.

Like it's not only this one ,i saw similar comments whenever a male lead appeared less in any episodes ,they started complaining especially when the ml is popular one's .
Yes i would love to see the ml having more scene especially if the ml is likable and the actor can act but when it comes to a heavily female centered drama ,they can't make him appear in every scene if it's not required .It's the artist knew very well .I have no problem when a drama expanded the male leads scene more than the novel but I saw many drama,won't take the name,where in order to make the male lead appearing in many scenes they added some parts which wasn't needed at all ,even gave fl's highlighted parts to him which pissed me off .This is the reason i avoided every of my favorite female centric novel adaptation (like the author QSCK's novel adaptation ) Because i know they are gonna butcher it.

That would be different case if the male leads total Screen Time is less compared to side male characters or their highlighted part has been given to others when in the end they have to take the blame if the drama become unsuccessful which is totally unfair .

I am ignoring every news related to TROTMEIML adaptation ,It's my habit ,when i am not satisfied with the casting ,i choose to ignore that ,even if that drama becomes hit. So when i visits in this page ,i was confused when saw some comments referring He Yu's character name XJX .I was like why am i seeing XJX ?Then i realized He Yu's character name is Xiao Jing Xi which can be said XJX as well 🤣

it's better for me to ignore this adaptation as well because the way the melons are changing ,I am gonna be clown again for sure .
No hate to SWL but The silver haired dude better to be remain in my imagination,only few actors i find suitable with that style and character description .

ok so acc to ep 19 ,HLL said to CY that even her maids knows that YX actually didn't spend that night with her?Gave her the title to silence the gossips .Also saw a post on weibo who read the script are saying ,at that scene when she schemed against him ,he was pretending to be drunk and got close with her then he knocked her unconscious (in c industry ,you can read the drama script before it airs), but him knocking her unconscious was cut in the episode .which is why we didn't see it.Then why wasn't she wearing anything ?Or any maid covered her in blanket after removing clothes to make other believe that?lol I Am confused because of this plot hole 😂

Even the novel is called legend of chu qiao .The first half of the novel focused on fl x sml,middle part on fl x third ml and the last half focused on ml x fl so it was always a female centric plot .Being first billing doesn't mean it's gonna be ml centric .He got first billed because the fl was a minor and he is more popular than the fl and the production is same as blossom .Plus i don't think LYR will do like some actors whose team forced to change the script just because they are more popular .And LYR himself said that he knew very well there will be criticism but he took this project as a challenge.
