not enough at all .the story of the novel is big,many characters has their own backstories and the author herself involved with the screenwriting,she added some extra scenes to make the drama perfect in all way that's why it's took 6 month for filming. the total episodes are mainly 72 episodes,cutting down 32 episodes is too much They can't convert it into 40 episodes by only increasing 5 mins. Obviously Xiao Yao is the center of the drama,,but the story is not like other typical story where the plot is only focused on two leads ,here all main leads are important .bcz their story goes around xiao yao so They can't cut any scenes of her with all MLs.Even the supporting character and negative character roles are also important.
now there is new rumor on weibo that they will not divide it into two parts.They will convert 72 episodes into 40 episodes & the duration will be 50 min for per ep (70 min was previous rumor) ..
