Title Theory of Love Spoiler
Okay. The more I watch of this, the more I think this entire thing is super toxic. Third is pissed off because…
I mean I can't blame him. He's lived for years on scraps of affection and manipulation from Khai (usually to serve his best interests). Third sacrificed, kept silent in order to save their friendship and was constantly pushed aside. Then finally, there's a glimmer of hope that he starts to reach for only to find out Khai messed with his feelings as some kind of test. Talk about kicking somebody when they're down. Plus, he's already watched countless times as Khai has wooed women, only to leave them in the dust when he's over it. After all that Third is suddenly supposed to trust Playboy (and supposedly straight) Khai that he's serious this time? I wouldn't trust in that either. After you break somebody's trust, it isn't as simple as coming back and pretending like all the history never happened. I think Third wanted to continue being Khai's friend, and is still trying but has distanced himself and put walls up because he's tired of being hurt. Literally the last time they had interacted before Khai left he ripped Third's heart out by forcing a kiss on him and calling out someone else's name, someone that I might mention was supposedly his girlfriend at the time. Then he reappears and without even having an actual conversation with Third and explaining things, he starts putting the moves on him. How confusing, frustrating and infuriating would that be to someone who's trying to move on with their life after the person they were in love with made it abundantly clear they didn't feel the same way. Khai put him through hell, but suddenly wants to be the one to decide that everything should be forgiven and should be rainbows and butterflies because he's realized he has feelings for Third. It's not that easy, and I'm glad they're showing that. Nobody deserves to be treated the way Third was, and Khai forcing Third to re-live everything when he's moved on (even if unintentionally) would make anyone upset. Khai has already played him, more than once, and Third is tired of being played. I think Khai has and did have some serious atoning to do. I get that he didn't understand fully, and later on became confused himself but that doesn't erase everything he did. Even not knowing about Third's feelings, he still took his friendship for granted and nobody should treat friends that way. I'd also point out we've had two episodes of Khai suffering, and six of Third. Personally I feel Khai deserves the life experience of seeing not everything will come easy to him. I'd also like to say good job to all the actors too, they've done a really great job.
