Fellow ARMY! YoonJin are my two ults lol it's hard to only have one bias. Well from my pov no plot is perfect, so I'm ok with that. I'm so glad this wasn't all fluff (even if I do enjoy a good fluff now and then haha), or all silly comedy I felt like the comedic elements were smart and well-placed, it was a good break from all heavy drama. They put serious effort into making this a story with depth, not only with the characters but with the evolving mystery as well. There are some plot holes for sure, but I definitely applaud them for the effort of continuing to improve and develop a different type of BL. I appreciate so much that they steered clear from the usual dramatic plots that interfere with the actual relationship of the characters. They tend to be more realistic about how their characters come together and fall in love, and I appreciate that a lot. I'm also personally not bothered when secondary characters don't get developed fully, as going into a series my main focus is always on the main characters as I know that's the story they're wanting to tell. So I get the complaints, but unless the MC sucks, I don't invest too much in the secondary characters, they're only truly there for plot-fill 99% of the time. So not perfect, but leaps and bounds above any BL we've had come out since probably Boundary Crossing and LBC haha.

Wow, the last two episodes were amazing. The storyline is so riveting and compelling, the emotional quality from the actors is outstanding. I can't wait to see what's next for History, because Trapped definitely took things to a new level. I'm sad it's ending next week, but I'm excited for a conclusion.

Great first episode. They already have me intrigued. Plus the actors are doing so well. Gun as always is excellent, but I know Off is doing a good job or I wouldn't want to kick his ass so damn bad lol luckily from what I've seen in the teaser the time will come when Khai pays for all the hurt he's causing now. I really hope I don't get second lead syndrome though, usually when the lead is a jerk I like the second lead for the love interest.

I was thinking the same thing! Though I also thought what if it's revealed that Sir Tang was really his dad. Another potential storyline is that Li Chen and Sir Tang were together then separated due to her being police and him a member of a gang. She found out she was pregnant and put her baby up for adoption. Then years later they reunite and get back together because Sir Tang is trying to move away from the illegal parts of gang life and he regrets loosing her (he always tells Tang Yi to not throw away his life and the idea of falling in love, that that's more important than anything). If she gave Tang Yi up when he was a baby it could be that none of them knew he was actually their son.

That's unfortunate.

Not a sequel

Wow. I'm so proud of the History staff and production team. They really utilized their resources and have done an amazing job on this series/season so far. I've always loved History but they've steadily grown and gotten better with each new season. Everything about Trapped so far is A+. I haven't anticipated the next episode in a series this much in quite awhile.

I just can't get into this. Maybe I would if I were into the leads, but they make the series really hard to watch. While there's some pretty good writing interspersed, and some great comedic timing, for the most part it's a slow slog with not much to keep my attention. I wish if they were going to do parody, they'd go full parody. Or if they were going to have a plot, they'd have an actual plot. Instead there's this strange half-assed attempt at both. My two favorite characters are Migel and fake Tiger which should tell you how I'm feeling about the series as a whole considering we've barely seen either lol

I don't know. I'm so hesitant about watching BL series that come out of China. They usually leave me gutted.

What I'm most excited about and hope they to focus on, is developing August's storyline. While I love NewYear as an actor, and his character was fine, I was most intrigued by Mark/August. I think his character had a huge amount of potential and depth. And it was something new for sure, they don't usually portray characters who cross-dress all that often, and they were showing it in a positive light which is an extra plus. I really want August to get a good resolution, I feel like he deserves it after last season.

I also hope they keep the original cast, I would be pretty bummed if Mark doesn't come back playing August as I truly enjoyed his acting (as usual).

I wrote this before I watched the last episode. According to subbers who speak thai, they've been saying they are actually brothers. I wanted to wait until I had confirmation they were brothers, before passing my judgement on their roles in the series.

Well. The ending wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, if you know how the novel ended it was pretty much to be expected. Luckily they seemed to have dropped the random, insane secondary stories and focused primarily on Oat and Pop, which was a blessing. The series as a whole was a dumpster fire. The writing/production was all over the place, which left the whole second season feeling choppy and unfinished. Thank God PreeBo didn't end up together, they were beyond repairing due to zero character development. Which honestly was a problem throughout the whole series. It was a huge missed opportunity, as I feel like the actors could have carried a much stronger plot. Thank God they dropped MaiTon before it got any weirder, their whole story was completely unnecessary considering how the series continued and ended. Quite honestly I was more bothered by the rape and horrible portrayal of an S&M relationship (showing anyone they should be OK with a similar relationship to that is really irresponsible), than I was at the fact that they were brothers (and yes, it's been confirmed by people who speak Thai that they were in fact actual brothers). I'm sure they added that element for the shock value, but it was so rushed and thrown-in it felt even more unnecessary than it might have had they carefully tried to broach a similar topic of trauma. I was hoping they'd veer from the novel with Oat and Pop but I'm not unhappy they stayed true to how things sort of end for them in the novel. They definitely missed the mark though when it came to developing their characters and relationship. Finally we can put this series to rest and move on, it was getting painful.

That was the point I was hoping to make, but thank you for making it for me! There's also nothing definitive about the Seme/Uke stereotypes from a Japanese standpoint even. Seme literally just means the person who tops or is the aggressor, it has nothing to do with physical appearance. And while it is common to see that stereotype in anything yaoi/bl there are lots of instances where that is not the case. For example in LBC Perth and Saints character's are literally written the way they are portrayed in the series lol Perth and Saint are actually pretty near to being the same height, they had to adjust angles, etc to make Perth come off as short as he does. What I also don't get about people's complaints is that Ae is a classic Seme personality-wise lol same with Pete's personality being what people would typically classify as Uke. It's actually something I really love that the author purposely gave those characters that juxtaposition and the production team did such a good job finding actors that fit those roles to a T.

Just so you know, this will be a remake. They are starting the series again from the beginning. Though according to information they released it will be structured different from what we got before. For example, I believe they will be showing Forth/Beam's relationship and more of MingKit. The problem last season is that the pacing was pretty strict to the novel, so we didn't get to see a lot of the secondary characters. Hopefully this time they'll figure out a way to stay true to the novel, but add more of the other characters storylines.
