Meh, I never really trust the ratings to be honest, especially as a drama is airing. In the end, people have different preferences. For example, Till the End of the Moon is at 8.6 - and I really couldn't stand that one for the most part.

I'm liking it a lot so far. Not always a fan of xianxia these days (maybe because I'm just getting older), but this one has an interesting story and performances so far. I really enjoyed seeing Deng Wei in LYF, but he's even better here.

Yeah you can't help but enjoy watching him. I feel like the actor is having fun, not taking himself too seriously, which helps with the performance

Yeah, I hope the cast can do something, that would be fun!

Maybe we'll know later. I kind of like how the drama slowly unveils things about various characters as it goes along. I do remember in one scene MQG said that Su Yu helped her and her sister back in the day, so there's that.

That was a pretty cold move - not what I would condone, but it's consistent with his character. Seeing DW's face change from sadness to cold anger just before he does that was perfect.

I’ve only otherwise seen Julia in Ripe Town, and she was great there.

I don’t mind the angst in my xianxia, as long as the story makes sense. But happy endings are nice! Makes all the pain worthwhile

Ep 3 and 4: As a mother myself, I am LOVING Mu Qingge. Her various tactics to teach SYS remind me of me trying to knock some sense into my boys.

I’m always wary with xianxia these days, but this one’s been great so far
