XianXia is a Chinese fantasy genre that translates to "immortal heroes".ย It's based on Chinese mythology and other traditional elements of Chinese culture, including Taoism, Chan Buddhism, and Chinese martial arts.ย
Here are some characteristics of Xianxia:ย
โข Protagonists
Often cultivators of immortality or supernatural powers, or already possess such powers
โข Antagonists
Often belong to the yao (ๅฆ) tribe (fae) or mo (้ญ) tribe (demon)
โข Abilities
Characters can manifest talents like flight, teleportation, telekinesis, and creating force fields
โข Practices
Characters engage in meditative practices and consume rare substances or creatures to improve their skills
Just stating this for reference. This is what true Xianxia genre is. FOF is not Xianxia genre even if it has some of these elements its very obviously a fantasy Wuxia if you accidently came here comparing and looking for solid Xianxia then FOF is not your thing.
Love you seven times, till the end of the moon, and love between the devil and the fairy; Even though these dramas as an example have gods, demons, humans and cultivation concept etc as xianxia elements these dramas are still wuxia fantasy not pure xianxia genre.
Like xuanhuan, xianxia is a sub - genre of Wuxia. Wuxia has wider range then its sub genres. Like Love game in eastern fantasy has demons, humans and game land as a concept but its not xianxia instead its wuxia and xuanhuan. Similarly, wildreness is some land in the universe where demons live.

Wow! Thats amazing๐๐ฏ. So weibo finally admitted to FOF being one of greatest dramas of 2024. I wonder what all the rubbish talk was about fof before it was even released ๐ค. They seriously rigged results and weibo didn't do anything to correct this behaviour of haters, water armies and competitors dramas fans meddling. I sincerely hope the results this time are not rigged again, I can hardly trust this system.
