Yes, I agree. It’s very wholesome so far. There wasn’t even drama between 2ML (ML’s assistant), his girlfriend…
wondering too how it will go with the second leads, ending together or not, either way I like their characters 😁let’s wait and see, but he will probably stay with his current girlfriend and friendship with SFL ?
finished the first 4 eps, I am quite enjoying this so far. only 16 eps, it's gonna end so fast. pretty chill vibe and fun. The leads are interesting to watch interact, their different personality. It's only beginning, but seems like no third party and pretty chill / kind families in this story, perfect. the second leads are nice too. ML and his words🤐🤐😅
Can you please spoil the ending for me so i can decide if it's worth it to continue watching i'v been burned by…
I made an other comments with more details and spoilers if you wanna check it out, but in general it's a happy ending for the leads and the 2 side couples
this comments section is so dead for an ending day🙈🙈. just finished ep 40, an okay conclusion I guess. same…
- In North Qi : eldest princess continues to trick Han mei (baby is gone and she wants him to see the downfall of his throne) - with the leads plan and all, queen mother confined, a coup in progress - Han Mei escape with eldest princess - the leads intercept (with the usual companions), they fight, eldest princess take s some poison pill, kisses Han Mei, poisons him in the process, push him off the cliff (so yeah she kills him). She's poisoned herself, FL wants to save her, but she fell in love with the wrong person and felt responsable for making Han Mei like this and for half of his sins. She jumps off the cliff. dies too - a peace agreement is signed between the 2 countries - after that they go back - some conversation between the leads and the friends (Song Brother and guy from the arsenal bureau) on the wall of that city (I forgot the name). ML has to go for 3 years to guard the border because he went to North Qi (the damn emperor again ahah) - Crown Prince become the emperor - 3 years later - we see briefly a scene for the 2 side couples. are they married ??? no clue and no mention... Chu Jin working her shop, Song Qing Ping a physician. Chu Lin walking again - ML's come back. At the gate, we have FL on the wall dress in red (just like that time ML saw her in the street at the beginning), she does a sword dance while ML watches. She said she's here to marry him. Will you marry me ? he says yes. - last scene : the leads talking above a cliff. they are going to travel around the world. Did not see this coming. (that was sarcastic 😅😅). the classic leaving everything to go travel or whatever. the end.
it's a happy ending, but I don't know. No wedding, nothing. we didn’t saw again the sister-in-laws either just thought of that
where are the kind of ending with wedding, kids, etc... could have been fun a wedding with everyone, family, friends, including the sister-in-law. anyway didn't have time for any of that with the time remaining for the conclusion and maybe that wasn’t fitting the story😅😅 couldn't expect miracle with that writer either and they often go for these kind of ending.
this comments section is so dead for an ending day🙈🙈. just finished ep 40, an okay conclusion I guess. same old same old😅 spoilers below of you wanna know a bit about the last episode
At the end of episode 35, at this point they are dragging it. This should have ended in 32 episdoes
I am watching the last 6 eps at 1,5x speed. I just finished ep 37 and honestly same, I think it's kinda dragging at this point. Don't think this drama needed to be 40 eps. I don't care about eldest princess and that guy, these last few eps now are also for the purpose of the emperor accepting the leads / letting them be together, but I don't know. But I can say that I still like eldest princess character. she's very loyal to her country. she's reminding me a bit of that consort in Wonderland of Love - feel in love with the ennemis, but stayed loyal and chose her country
worst mother ever and trash human being, doesn’t even deserve to be called a mother . she’s bad to all her kids. I got to give it to the actress though, she’s pretty good
So the description on here must be from the novel because he is totally aware of who she is and they do not battle…
probably, that's often the case before the drama starts airing, that description is wrong for the drama.
the one on Youku makes more sense : 'In the Great Qi dynasty, young emperor Xiai Huan assumes the alias Bai Chifan and draws close to Ling Cangchang, daughter of The Grand Tutor, to reclame power from him and the Empress Dowager. Cangcang, the brave and righteous leader of Fenglai Pavilion, joins him in investigating the Lingbi Sect. Their bond deepens into love, but her master's death sparks a fatal misunderstanding. Though they become Emperor and Empress, old wounds keep them apart. Refusing to abandon truth, Cangcang endure betrayal and peril, only to discover Xiao Huan's silent devotion. Together, they restore peace, and prove that neither love nor the realm must be forsaken'
someone should ask for a modification, maybe I'll do it later😅 last time I tried for a drama, I didn't do it properly and was rejected🤣
I think the only positive element of this series was the cast—the main actors and the rest. They were truly…
I agree with everything. the fake relationship / marriage angle felt really disapointing to me how they did it. can we even say it was that, it was barely in the plot
the writting of this drama was a mess and wasted potential
I was rooting for the Second couple...do they end up together..?
more an open ending, we can assume they will. no confession. they went jogging together, he goes to prison, meet again in the last 5 min at the leads wedding. A smile... feel like wasted potential.
could have been written diffently, like not making her like ML for many eps, could have had more development. they had limited screentime anyway to get a proper story, even the leads felt kinda rushed to me and not well develop
they wasted so much time on the ex through the drama... like in the last ep, a scene of him looking at FL photo and crying... who gives a damn. completly unnecessary. could have done less eps and write out all this nonsense
