The comments I’ve came across are positive in Weibo. This look is not a rare look for Dylan. A comment in Weibo said when he puts on this style, he is like a lion returning to the grassland. 😄 Dylan had always braided his hair as a teenager and with help from his mom. 😄 I think whoever writing these comments are not familiar with Wang Hedi. Dylan is known to push the envelope and he doesn’t play it safe. He always come out rockin. He also has a lot of rapper friends and is a big fan hip hop. But like I said before, he is very versatile. You will see him all sorts of styles because he is very fashion forward. 🤗
Blackmarket propaganda can be pretty convincing and bring on haters and sway innocent viewers with negative comments/ ratings. The top notch data for this drama and Shiyan’s popularity, with billions of viewership, and ad placements are proof that most people and the brand advertisers do not care enough about the blackmarket poison poured on Douban. MangoTV did not pay to blackmailing. Also with billions of viewers, why is it so difficult to admit that it is popular among passers-by as well and not just fans of the leads? 😄

LOL Didi is never locked into one look or style. He’s versatile, eclectic, and daring. This is the style of Pharrell, LV Creative Director. Not everyone can pull off this look but he did.

I think you just have to get use to her character. Her voice is represent of her young age and as a kind hearted low-ranking flower fairy. She is oblivious to the outside world and accidentally befriended DFQC. She will have character growth. This is a well loved feel good love story. Hope you like it!
This has to do w/ MangoTV airing Dylan and Bai Lu’s drama Only for Love on Nov. 3. The drama got so popular with top notch data, that IQIYI’s drama Fearless was not able to compete. After 3 days of jealousy, IQIYI got scared and released Bai Lu’s drama SOKP instead of the scheduled drama A Journey to Love. This divided Bai Lu’s fans to jump ship and abandon OFL, especially when the costume drama is more popular and already has 7 million reservations. What IQIYI did was hit OFL below the belt by releasing a drama with the same female lead to steal traffic and bully a small network like MangoTV. IQIYI does not care about the viewers or Dylan. I would have understood it if it starred some other actor, but not Dylan who helped them rise from ashes. Before LBFAD aired in 2022, IQIYI was struggling, but it’s Dylan’s DFQC and Unchained Love that are smash hits and helped IQIYI become a powerhouse today (see my recent comment on Scream night ).

is it just me or it seems like the kissing scenes were better in the videos we saw before the eps were out🤔…
The kisses were very short and got cut to a bad angle or filmed from an alley. I think the kisses were heavily censored. In Unchained Love only 4 kisses made it out of 20. In Youth in the Flames of War, his entire love line was removed until half way. Dylan’s dramas are always unreasonably censored because govt (or competitors with govt power) thinks he is too hot. 😄 In the later episodes the kisses are longer.

You’re right, the blackmarket ratings in Douban is an evil tactic to bring hate and shame and stain its reputation forever for those that care. I’m sad there just isn’t more people standing up for this in Douban. Maybe people don’t care enough. Haters working harder than fans. I’m glad the statistics in popularity, viewership, and ad placements are still so good with all this hate. Next year, with Dafeng, will be another intense battle for sure.

I’m heartbroken for Dylan too. It is hard to believe IQIYI would stoop so low to steal traffic. I always thought there is some sort of rule/agreement/understanding that they don’t air the dramas from the same actor simultaneously. In the end, they didn’t care about the viewers or Dylan. They forced BL fans to jump ship and abandon OFL. SOKP already had 7 million reservations too. However I think OFL did just fine with Dylan’s fans. I’m so upset I didn’t watch SOKP or recommend it to my friends. 😄 I am canceling my IQIYI membership also because I can’t forgive what they did to Dylan. 😡 They need to make it up to him because the Scream award is not enough. Unless Dylan has new drama with them I won’t go back to IQIYI. I only got membership to watch Dylan’s dramas anyway. 😤

I think the drama is success, even without BL’s fans. Her character Shuyi has long dropped from the popularity charts. OFL is TOP 1 for TV drama and investment champion with 26 (?) brand advertisements. The drama fans are crazy for Shi Yan. His character almost always TOP 1. Shiyan (and its misspellings) is so popular it even overtook Dylan’s own popularity recently over 350 million on WeChat index.
Regarding the bad ratings on Douban, did the black market failed or succeeded? Because it is also said that only fans watch it for the leads and popularity is because of fans. But the official announcement was 2 billion views were played on Douyin and 10 billion views on the platform. Is this something that only his fans can achieve? If so he can dominate the entertainment industry. 😄 Why is it so difficult to admit that it is popular among passers-by also? Are people watching it for Dylan and Bai Lu, but hating it? LOL. I can’t imagine that is the case for billions of views. The way I see is people are watching it in China because they don’t believe in or care for the bad rating on Douban. Many already know the ratings are antis. They enjoy it enough to keep watching. It is already rebroadcasting in an afternoon time slot because it’s so popular. I have seen the complaints and frustration in Weibo, but that is mainly on the director and scriptwriter. I think all the data are showing Bai Lu and Dylan Wang are unscathed by the poison poured on Douban.
