I watched the first episode, and honestly I’d give it a 5/10. There’s nothing groundbreaking—it’s a theme that’s been done over and over again in the K-drama industry. Just from the first episode, I can already tell it’ll be, at best, an average drama, probably rating around 8.0–8.1, and even that’s not guaranteed. There’s really nothing special about it. It’s a shame because the cast is actually really good—I love Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin—but I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up dropping it.
The small-town/village trope in K-dramas is really annoying, and it’s often in weak or average dramas. I really don’t like that kind of neighborhood-focused storyline—it’s not my favorite style.
Houtch, it ended up with a 6.9. I’m glad I stopped after the first episode—strangely, every K-drama I’ve dropped has always ended up with a pretty low rating.
I really like this drama after two episodes. It makes me both laugh and feel sad when “Dongman” shouts his name loudly—he’s incredible. I love the chemistry between him and Eun A. I think this is the first drama where I’ve truly enjoyed watching Go Yoon Jung act. I find her amazing in this role, and she’s beautiful.
This K-drama is probably good, but I’ve realized it’s really not my kind of drama. My taste is quite simple—I usually prefer slice-of-life, healing, and romance K-dramas, with a perfect soundtrack and beautiful visuals. Dramas like “In Your Radiant Seasons,” which I loved, and now “We Are All Trying Here”—that’s exactly the kind of drama I enjoy. That’s my style.
Oh but it’s out already? I had no idea. But what kind of drama is this actually? I thought it was a real K-drama. Why are the episodes only 30 minutes long? I’ll give it a try—if I don’t like it, I’ll drop it.
Kim Jae-won—how is his acting? Has he improved? Can we say this is his best drama? Or does the queen, the fairy Kim Go-eun, completely outshine him? 😂 Kim Jae-won—how is his acting? Has he improved? Koo Kyoo-hwan, Koo Kyo-hwan—damn, what an actor. He’s just incredible, I honestly love him. It’s such a shame he doesn’t get that many roles, but I immediately saw how amazing he was when I watched him in *D.P. (Deserter Pursuit)*—he was absolutely phenomenal in it. The impact he’s going to deliver here… we’re not ready.
Alright, I just watched the first episode and damn, I love this kind of drama. Even if it breaks me at the beginning, it’s totally my favorite genre. It reminds me of *In Your Radiant Seasons*, which I absolutely loved watching. I’m not saying it has the same plot, but it’s the same kind of drama—slice of life, healing stories where you end up learning incredible quotes, with amazing visuals, acting, and soundtrack.
I love this kind of K-drama and I’ll never get tired of it. It’s the kind that breaks you at first and then slowly rebuilds you episode by episode. I always take away meaningful quotes from dramas like this. Recently, one quote I loved from *IYRS* was:
* “My world was black and white, but she filled it with vibrant colors.”
I’m jumping all over the place, my heart is racing. IU was so cute at the baseball game, and her reaction when the crowd was asking for a “kiss” 🤭🤭🤭. IU is amazing—Lee Jong Suk is lucky to have such happiness 😃
The OST in episode 3 during the kissing scene—I can’t figure out if it’s by Woodz, Sam Kim, Soo So Bin, or ALEPH—but so far it’s my favorite OST I’ve heard here. It’s amazing, I keep replaying that part on loop.
