I don’t know how things will play out with KSH, but he’s literally going to completely overshadow her, no question. I’d be genuinely shocked if GYJ managed to pull off a Lee Chaemin–type turnaround, but I honestly think that’s impossible. With Chaemin, you could already see that he had potential—it’s just that most of his K-drama choices have been disastrous, and he never really got the chance to act alongside a strong female lead before BYM.
Honestly, I don’t understand the hype around GYJ. She literally can’t act—her expressions are just empty, she doesn’t stand out at all, and at best she could play a supporting role. Her biggest asset, and the main reason she gets leading roles, is her visuals and the huge exposure she got from K-dramas that performed very well (SH and Moving). I’ve honestly seen her in quite a few K-dramas to form an opinion, and in all of them, she’s never the one carrying the show or making it interesting. For those who disagree, I invite you to debate.
Honestly, how can this kind of drama work? It's just another one of countless dramas that are either bad or mediocre, with ratings around 8.0-8.1 at best. Let's keep in mind that this kind of drama will never be memorable.
The K-bubble bursted a few years ago and now it’s starting to actually show
I feel the same way as you do. K-dramas are starting to become dead in the water, even the big dramas with attractive actors are only attracting the most loyal fans. Frankly, it will continue to decline in the future. I'm not saying it will put an end to it all, but just that there will be fewer and fewer fans.
It's crazy that a Park Seo Joon drama attracts so few people here. Anyway, I think something has happened with K-dramas over the last year or two. Very few people are watching them, especially on MDL. I don't know about elsewhere. The last drama that reached 100k was “WLGT.” The K-drama starring Suzy and Kim Woo Bin only reached 39k viewers. There's been a big drop in K-drama viewership.
Episode 6: I’m honestly struggling with it. It’s not bad, but there’s absolutely no rhythm—it feels way too slow. The episodes should be shorter; 1 hour and 15 minutes is just too long when almost nothing happens. The actors are good, there’s nothing to complain about there, and I think their chemistry is pretty solid. But the problem is the plot, or the way the drama unfolds—it’s just not very engaging. Honestly, if I’m sticking with it until the end, it’s only because of Seo Joon.
My God, Korean cinema has fallen so low… This really needs to stop. Fuck, where are all the classics that made everyone love Korean movies? In what world can this kind of film plot actually work, honestly? Damn it, focus on pure romance or action films, because this kind of movie can literally only be bad.
We still had some good, even very good ones, including: - When Life Gives You Tangerines - Love Scout - Our Unwritten Seoul - Dynamite Kiss - Bon Appétit Your Majesty - Genie Make a Wish - The Manipulated - The Price of Confession - The Trauma Code - Resident Playbook - Weak Hero Class 2 - Spirit Fingers - You And Everything Else - The Winning Try - Our Movie - Good Boy - Nine Puzzle - Study Group - Way Back Love - Undercover High School
Releasing it on the same day as the second part of season 5 of Stranger Things isn't too bad on their part, frankly, the promotional effort is literally zero.😂
2025 is coming to an end, and it's time to recap all its dramas. For me, there were far more bad dramas than good ones. Of course, if I had to choose three that stood out for me in 2025, they would be: - When You Life Gives You Tangerines - Our Unwritten Seoul - You And Everything Else.
But my absolute favorite is definitely Our Unwritten Seoul. It's the K-drama of the year 2025.
This drama is doing extremely well, with 34,524 viewers two episodes before the end, and it has very good ratings in Korea. Honestly, for me, it's the best drama of November/December. It easily deserves an 8.5-8.6, and frankly, my rating will be between 8.5 and 10. I simply love it and hope we get a great ending.
I find it so hard to watch this drama, and on top of that, we get episodes that are 1 hour and 18 minutes long where nothing happens. I'm sorry, but it's really boring. I can tell when a drama is gripping or not, and here, even though I love Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An, it's way too boring, and today's episode was way too long.
People commenting here as if lee jong suk is a spectacular actor lmao. His current dramas flopped so bad btw.
So now, you're comparing a great actor like Lee Jong Suk to a guy who must have high-placed people in his family. The guy is literally in every K-drama in a lead role and with great actresses. I've seen him act in 3 K-dramas, and in all three, he was catastrophic in his acting. He literally brings nothing to the screen, and many people will tell you the same. Now, regarding Lee Jong Suk, I agree that his latest drama Law City might have been his worst, but we're still talking about a guy who usually picks good scripts. I don't see any drama of Lee Jong Suk's that was a flop. I'd love to know

It's the most beautiful soundtrack in the history of C-dramas. When it plays, I'm on the verge of tears... 🥲
