I think it’s different if she was his teacher in school but here, she was just a private tutor who was close to his age. They also didn’t start the romance when he was a minor. They reunited 10 years later when both were grown & became different people.
This isn't bad, but as a former teacher, I find teacher-student romances creepy and inappropriate. I'm dropping…

Why are they making all the women so damn calculative and manipulative? It’s like watching a harem of scheming concubines fighting over the emperor only the emperor here is prestige in an academy.
It’s horrifying to see how many women are plotting against FL because she’s successful. All them sneaky snakes everywhere slithering in every corner. The men are shown in positive lights, even Pyo is turning into a more sensible person.
Ok. Idk if it’s the subtitles or me not understanding the school culture of S. Korea but it’s messy.
I don’t get the FL. She’s acting too high and mighty at this point. It was none of her business why ML quit his job to work at the academy but she took it upon herself to make it a point to get him to fail. Mr. Pyo may be older & old school but who is she to say that he would fail due to his age? I agree with the Gray Witch. FL was arrogant.
I barely understand half of the convos between them about teaching so I could be very wrong but I don’t blame Mr Pyo. FL should not have come into his school to challenge him like that. And if he chose to leave that school, it ain’t her business to tell the academy not to hire him.
You and me both??Why are the teachers upset that the students have good exam results???Why are they worried that…
I was like huh? What? Wait, what did I just read? They’re so dramatic. Like, chill Karen-shi. Talking about wanting to get hit by a car than getting complaints after the exams.
This whole drama can be so dramatic . The whole office was shook when that student walked in. Ms Seo was like - tell Mr Lee to run! Bitch, why?
That Pyeong teacher had a full makeover just so he could declare war. Ok. Over what? They too much.
Great points but I see things a bit different. I don’t see the progression being the issue at the moment. What…
Yup. He said it over and over again how he could see through her lies and that he held back to give her time but he just couldn’t wait anymore since his feelings overcame his rational thinking. That’s love. Also, if he sensed that she did not have feelings for him and if she flat out told him to stop, he would’ve stopped. She kept giving him hope by not fully understanding her own feelings and a part of her wanted him to bring it out of her. She said it more than once that she didn’t want to leave partly due to him.
Great points but I see things a bit different. I don’t see the progression being the issue at the moment. What…
Thanks.
I completely understand their feelings and choices. I thought the scene when she broke down in front of her friend over his text was so well acted and written. She laid all her insecurities and vulnerability on the table. She admitted how she never dared to even allow herself time to think about love let alone a relationship due to her struggles. It felt so real in a sense because so many of us struggled through the same thing when life gets in the way of establishing meaningful relationships. In the Korean society, they place so much pressure on their children, it’s no wonder none of them had a proper childhood let alone youth. Look at all those students studying from dusk till dawn like zombies.

I agree that the virgin trope/chastity belt for the duration of their adulthood is overplayed and unrealistic. This is in Cdramas as well. It would’ve been better to show ML in casual relationships but never serious since he’s been waiting for her & for FL to have unsuccessful relationships due to her work schedule and lack of time. They’re definitely trying to desperately fulfill this idea of staying pure for your true loves which is nice but not realistic in today’s society.
I think she’s always been secure in her job, it’s the people around her who don’t trust her. As for him, he’s been successful in his previous corporate job but he was bored. Honestly, it’s a drama and for entertainment. If they only showed them focusing on advancing their careers and only tidbits of their love lives, we wouldn’t be here.
The progression of the story and relationship just isn't working for me. Two episodes post confession and the…

I don’t see the progression being the issue at the moment. What we learned is that he’s always been in love with her but never had the opportunity since he had to prioritize his education and career. She realized she’s also had feelings for him but was forced to grow up at a young age to care for her family (the director mentioned tuition for her brother and hospital bills for her father). Now, they’re both at a time in their lives where they can both make each other the priorities. Their past connection has been so strong and it helps with developing their true feelings for each other by taking us back in time to revisit those moments.
That being said, when you realized how strong their connection has been and continue to be, you understand why they’re choosing each other. They’re not necessarily putting their goals on the side but rather, taking a moment to enjoy their deserved happiness after working so hard for the past decade.
I don’t see ML as pushy. I see him as ambitious & confident. He didn’t force her and even told her to go work any where else if it meant a better opportunity for her. FL is not someone who gets pushed around either. She’s inexperienced in love & letting him lead for a change. It’s a good dynamic.
think last two time travels were totally unnecessary and we have another time travel here too I guess
Yup! It’s not consistent at all. They spent so much time giving us the unnecessary love mishap with SML that led to nothing, all the cringey lovey dovey scenes, & scenes with the parents which also led to nowhere. The tone started out mysterious and a bit dark with her accident and his death but then turned into a high school rom com real quick even though she’s still the adult in her 30s living in her high school time line. She couldn’t do anything significant in the 4 time lines given except dated him.
Unpopular opinion but… it’s dragging to the finish line for me.
The starting over and over and over may be better in a shorter series. I don’t care for any of the side characters. The mystery is no longer interesting.

It’s exhausting to watch now.

I want ML to not apologize so much.

Maybe I need to go to an academy to develop my understanding of Kdramas.
Dressing Song Kang in shoulder pads felt like a meeting that could’ve been an email- unnecessary and annoying. These damn animals.
