Most of the people that watched C-version, are comparing too much, while us first timers are enjoying and contemplating…
Ok cool

i think it's deliberate. sanha's father is more distant in this version, or less expressive. it adds a new dimension…
True but I think from that standpoint, it took away what was so special from the original version. The romance was never the focus, it was the family dynamic between all the characters.

Agree but I think they don't have much eps to focus on everything I think they are trying their best to balance…
I was worried about that with this adaptation. We’re missing so much depth from this shortened version. They don’t seem like family to me here, just close neighbors.

I completely agree with your comment. I haven't finished the series yet; I'm currently on episode 21. I'm starting…
I also enjoyed the second couple but they hardly developed them since the leads got so much time dedicated to them doing nothing.

They did not give San Ha’s appa any personality. The original C version developed both fathers and their relationships so we cared more for the adults and kids.

The original Chinese version was longer and had more time to build the story from their childhood. This one is more condensed due to the shorter episodes.

The one thing this version is lacking so far is the actual family bonding between the kids, the kids with the dads and the dads themselves. In the original, they had time to show home life and school life so you got to see them interact more in the neighborhood, and with both their dads.

Also, in this one, they call the other dad “ahjussi” and which makes them seem more distant. In the original, they call both dads their dads which made their bonds seem a lot closer.

I’m still looking forward to this one and I’m hoping the romance comes in later because I think Go Ahead stood out due to the fact that their family bond was so well developed and established.

From the trailer, Zhang Wanyi dubbed for himself so it should be his own voice.
Ok good. I almost pissed myself from waiting for this to start

I 100% agree, definitely a 7/10. The actors were good but I think the characters personalities and the story telling…
They only showed us the surface but never truly into depth with the characters. It was such a missed opportunity.

So.. we got a wedding but not the one we want. This is sad but I thought the parents were more interesting to watch than the leads. If it wasn’t for the lead actors, this would’ve been a 7/10. Actually, it still is.

Go Ahead was absolute perfection.. EXCEPT for the unnecessary “love triangle” or more like love confusion. I hope this version will address this quickly so we can focus more on the core of the story. I’m super excited for this!

I’m TIRRRRREDDDDD.

1. Tired of the messy execution on such a good premise. We went from rom com to melodrama real quick.
2. The ex fiance did not do anything wrong. He was burnt out, overwhelmed and tired. Depression is no joke and it affects those around you, too.
3. ML is now coming in when the hardship is over to claim victory?
4. ML’s dad has the worst fucking timing. Stop showing up each time your girl is receiving gifts.
5. FL’s brother is the most useless character.

Half way through- no real development.

1. Who the fuck asked for the flashback of FL and her ex? Who??
2. I like the mom group of friends but they need to serve more purpose than just sitting around bickering.
3. I actually like the relationships of the parents but they’re not giving us anything much at this point. They tease us and then all fillers.
4. And now cancer?! Really?? Idk about y’all but she better give him a response in 9 days regardless.

Title Kidnap
It’s a bit sloppy for me for the first episode but… I’ll take Ohm with Leng. Finally, someone visually on par with Ohm.

It has the right direction but the execution is not as strong as it could be. I don’t buy the whole getting shit faced giving out flowers to strangers only to get kidnapped by a hot guy with potential sexy results.

Why couldn’t this have happened to me?
