I have not seen Cherry Magic but judging from the pics and trailer, I don’t. Part of the reasons I don’t watch many Japanese BLs is because of what you just described- weird & disturbing plot.

I’m impatiently waiting for more. Like, IMPATIENTLY FRUSTRATED. Have you seen A League of Gentlemen? It’s got two of my fav actors and I’ve been wanting to continue but damn the censorship came hard & it’s like watching the empty shell with any potential BL completely sucked out. So many series have been placed on hold because of censorship.

It’s sad to know Addicted was the last BL we’ll get with China. Such a shame. Imagine how much hotter Word of Honor could have been

I’m mostly not into Japanese BL because I rarely find the leads attractive. So far, only 1 appealed to me : Ida from My Love Mix Up. I never feel their chemistry and don’t find them interesting. Don’t come for me !

Sorry, friend. I wasn’t clear. I’ve only read Addicted the novel, not a webtoon or comic version (not sure they even exist).

I think I should back track. Yes, both were toxic as fuck . I think I’m just more turned off by Tharntype because of the fanbase.

You know, I have yet to dip into Filipino BLs. I can’t get into Japanese BLs.

I recommend MSP and Moonlight Chicken for Thai Bls this year. If you decide to watch, let me know how you feel after.

I read Addicted the novel as well. I had to know how it ended. Yes, it’s toxic but we also got mad fan girls for Tharntype so I’d much prefer Addicted over that shit.

You should definitely give it a try. It’s not all fluffy and superficial. I recommend. The finale is next week so hopefully it ends well

The Eighth Sense is a great fuller length series you should check out

MSP has been a solid one despite the over done school theme mainly for its lack of toxic characters and relationships. It’s another great coming of age series.

Absolutely agree on 2 series & 1 movie:

1. I Told Sunset About You. I totally forgot to add this to my profile but definitely a remarkable coming of age series with wonderful storyline & acting. I did not like its sequel (I Promised You the Moon) mainly because of how their relationship became toxic & we all know Teh did not deserve Ohaew.

2. Word of Honor: Where do I even begin? The censorship did nothing to hide the oozing chemistry and intensity of their relationship. Definitely one of THE best.

3. Your Name Engraved Herein: It broke my heart but it was beautiful too watch.

I also hope the leads return with something that makes sense. I feel awful for them to be given such a horrendous script.
